We are writers. We dream of unknown worlds where there are oceans in the sky and people of earth swim in fog.
We dream of worlds where the rain is upside down and the boom of thunder is actually laughter. We believe in worlds where there are glass trees that change colors when the sun hits them and mythical creatures unknown to every mind but ours.
Often we aren't doers in the real world, but in our minds we create and rip apart whole worlds in the blink of an eye, just for the joy of others (and ourselves.) We stay up until 3 a.m. with just a pot of coffee and the sound of rain hitting the windows for company.
You, a writer, are a creative, mindful, fantastic human being. It doesn't matter if you only write in your head, if your books have never been published, if nobody knows about your stories but you and your pet cat. You're still a writer, even if the rest of the world doesn't know it.
To all of you authors who are nervous about publishing or even just showing your stories to someone else, this is for you. I believe in you.
