A/N: The next chapter is where the break begins from Raw Paranoia, please keep this in mind when/if you read decide to read the two. They lead to seperate endings and stress different points. Also a different back story will be revealed for both, so don't confuse the two. Much appreciated.

It was hard for me to get undressed for bed whilst Zeon got the pups ready and laid them down in the sheets. Although I had considered that his flat was rather spacious and quite a ways nicer than mine, it was still quite bare. Even his bathroom didn’t have a door and so changing in there was pointless but I felt the urge to hide. I had little I could wear to sleep in; I hadn’t planned on staying in any other place other than the barracks tonight. Zeon had offered me a shirt for me to sleep in, but I couldn’t help but cringe at the thought, it seemed wrong for me to be wearing someone else clothes after such a short time.

I felt eyes on me as I decided to strip down to my underwear and for once I felt uncomfortable revealing my flesh to another person. My chest was bare and I realised now that the only part of my body that was covered was my lower region and somehow that made me feel heated. I couldn’t afford underwear and I could barely afford clothes for myself, so I saw no point in buying a bra. I slung my cardigan back on and buttoned it up, it was hardly going to keep me warm but it covered most of the points that my mind had now considered impractical to be shown.

“I thought you said it was nonchalant back home?”

I was taken by surprise when my breathing hitched; it was strange that my body was reacting so easily to such a stranger. I turned and briskly brushed by him, I heard the sharp intake of breath as we touched and a smirk fell onto my features. So we’re both accelerating pretty quickly . . . interesting.

“It is. This land has changed me. As it no doubt would have done you.”

I slipped underneath the covers and was glad that the warmth that resided there was the familiar heat of my pups mixed with the scent of home. I wasn’t too surprised when Zeon climbed in on the other side of my pups, he had no furniture he could lie on and he no doubt wouldn’t have had spare sheets to sleep in. But my body was all too uncomfortable with him being in such a close proximity with nothing but a wall of my pups to separate the acceleration that was rushing through the air electrically between us.

I stiffened as I realised the shadow that was invading my vision was his hand reaching out towards my face; the movement was full of so much affection. I couldn’t help but pull away, nothing but the uneasy churning in my stomach providing as a motivation for my behaviour.

“Will you talk to me?” I flipped over; my stomach couldn’t take the uneasiness that was lurching through it at unpredictable intervals. I didn’t answer.

I was starting to get weary and the sleep that I had been avoiding was starting to pull its way across my eyes, making every limb and every muscle heavier than imaginable.

“Hey Sassaba,” it was barely a whisper and I could feel the words being breathed down my neck but my limbs were too heavy to flinch away, “are you awake?” I mumbled a response; it was a mixture of guttural grunt and a nasal noise. “Are you ever going to tell me your name?”

I flickered my eyes open just long enough to see his hand was hovering over my face undecidedly, conflicted by the two largest feelings within him at that moment. I opted with my best option, he was tame and so couldn’t detect my entire feelings but he’d been wild long enough to know an outright lie when faced with one.

“Maybe, one day.” I answered and my heavy lids closed as the dreams swirled back into view.
