Chapter 1: Departure

I held Hazel in my arms as Ben began putting his stuff at the door, Danny was here too finishing up some packing. I watched them, feeling worse and worse each time the placed a bag in front of the door. I looked down at Hazel who looked up at me, huge hazel eyes wide as ever. I smiled softly and cuddled my beautiful little girl. We both watched as Ben brought down his last bag. Man, I wish we had more time. Ben sighed as he walked over to his and pulled us into a hug. I blinked back tears as I hugged him tight. “It’s only for a few months, baby.” He whispered to me. I nodded, sniffling. Ben took Hazel into his arms one last time and kissed her forehead softly. “You be good, lil Aly.” I rolled my eyes. “What she looks just like you.”

“But her name is Hazel.”

“Should have named her after you.” I shook my head in disgust, ugh that was one of Brooke’s suggestions, bitch tried to ruin my life. “Ben the bus is here.” Danny called, opening the door. He grabbed his bags and began taking them out to the bus. I sighed as Ben gathered his stuck into his arms. “I love you both.” Ben whispered and kissed my lips deeply. I smiled back, “I love you too.” I watched as the guys helped them load their stuff onto the bus. They waved to me and I waved back. “See you in a couple of months.” I smiled best I could. “We’ll take good care of him.” Danny winked at me as they got onto the bus. I’m sure they would. I waved again as the bus pulled away and retreated back into the house.

I turned on the TV and sat down, Hazel in my lap. It was almost time for her bottle. I got up and walked over into the kitchen and took a bottle out of the fridge and heated the formula up in the microwave and took it out. I moved to sit down when my phone went off. Hazel began to cry softly and I frowned, getting back up to get my phone. It was a text from Ben. I smiled and sat down and began feeding Hazel. You should come on tour with me, one time.

I shook my head smiling and texted him back. If we didn’t have Hazel I would.

We could just let Ella and Jake watch her.

That’s ok I’d rather I took care of my child.

Aw don’t go all protective, Mummy on me babe.

I laughed out loud and my phone rang this time. It was an unknown number, I hesitated answering it as I remembered the hate mail from a few days ago. Be a big girl, Aly. I sighed and answered the call. “Hello?”

“Hi, um this is Kandy, did they leave yet?”

“Oh, Kandice?”

“Yeah, Danny’s girlfriend, he gave me your number hope that’s ok.

“Yeah, it’s fine I mean we’re gonna be seeing a lot of each other right?”

“Yeah.” She laughed. “So did they leave yet?”

“They just left.”

“Aw, shit.” I raised an eyebrow, “didn’t Danny see you last night.”

“Yes he did, I just miss him already.” I shrugged, nodding.

“I assume you miss Ben, right?” I nodded to myself. “Yeah, I was just texting him.”

“Oh sorry I wouldn’t want to bother you. You’re Alexandria right?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Oh, how’s your baby, Hazel?” I sighed softly, biting my lip. “She’s good.” For some reason I didn’t feel well talking to her. “That’s good you wanna hang out sometime? Get to know each other?” I chewed on my cheek. “Sure I guess. Lunch tomorrow?”

“Great, see you then, Aly.” I rolled my eyes and ended the call. I guess Danny told her a lot about us. I didn’t like that but it was ok. I mean she hopefully isn’t as psycho as the last girl.

Hazel was finished with her bottle and I set it down on the coffee table. She nestled into me and closed her eyes. I began rocking her slowly. I wondered if I should take her with me tomorrow. I just got home I’d feel bad if I had someone watch her besides I’m sure she won’t make too much of a fuss. I picked her up as she had fallen asleep and went to go put her to bed in her room.

Kandice’s POV

“Everything’s set, Brooke. We’re going to lunch tomorrow, her apartment’s all yours.” I put my phone down. She seemed nice although she hang up on me. I shrugged, Danny did give me her number. I guess I’d feel a bit invaded on too. “Yes, thank you. Kandy!” Brooke smiled brightly and hugged me tight. I didn’t exactly know what she wanted with the Bruce’s but I really didn’t care much. He did deny me access to him that night. But he was getting married, although most guys wouldn’t care. I rolled my eyes and went to go get ready for work. Brooke messed with her computer and I frowned at her. “Brooke we have to get ready for work.”

“I’ll be there in a second.” I sighed and walked into my room to get changed.

Brooke’s POV

I clicked on Asking Alexandria’s tour dates and watched as they came up on the screen. Hmm, they’d be away for months. Ben would be away from Alexandria for months. Maybe I could get rid of her and when Ben comes back he’ll have no choice but to settle for me. I smirked to myself and closed my computer and began changing clothes. Kandy had got me a job at the strip club where she worked. I contemplated my plan for tomorrow. Basically while Kandy too Aly out I’ll hopefully be able to find something interesting in there. What a better way to shake someone up than to break into their house right? She won’t even know what hit her.
