My name is Mia, Im 17 and an orfan. Both of my parents died in a car accident when I was 3, there werent any relatives that could be found to take me in. So after the accident two police officers dropped me of at the orfanage, that I have been at for fourteen years. Everyone at the orfanage thought I was going to get adopted first thing, but they were wrong. It had taken fourteen years to get adopted, now here I was packing all my cloths and belonings that I had, and have collected over the years. After I was done packing my bags I sat there with tears, of joy and happiness, in my eyesleatting everything fully set in.
"I can't believe that I finally am getting adopted." I whispered to myself while thinking about what had happened earlier...
(FLASHBACK)
I was just getting back from my morning run when out of nowhere the head director of the orfanage, her name was Vikki, came running by me. I'm so used to this, she does it everytime someone was getting adopted. What I didn't expect was for her to abruptly stop and turn around with a huge smile on her face.
"HONEY, YOUR GETTING ADOPTED!!!!" she yelled excitedly at me.
I just stood there shocked. I had so many emotions running through me I could barely think right. I honestly hadn't been expecting to get adopted. I thought that since I turned eightteen in six months that I would just move out and get a job a place to live after that. My thoughts were interupted when Vicky said,
"Mia did you hear me? I said you were getting adopted!!"
"I'm sorry its just that I am really surprised!" I said to her
"Oh hun that's totally understandable!" she answered back
"Well when are they coming to get me?" I asked
"In about three to four hours, you better get packing!" She said
"Oh wow, then I better go and do that!" I told her, and excused myself.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
I still don't think it has fully set in yet that im leaving this place to go live with a family. I can't even count how many times I've dreamed of this day!
Two hours later they came to sign the final papers and to bring me to my new home. I think im gunna need some time to adgust to all the changes. When I met them for the first time i could fell calmness and happines raidiating of of them in waves and it helped me relax immidietly.
"Hi Mia, Im Renee and this is my husband Neil." She told me whle taking me into a hug and after her Neil also gave me one.
"Hello its so nice to meet you!" I exclaimed
"Same to you too" She replied
"Well all the papers are signed and you can go whenever your ready to!" Vicky said excitedly
"Are you ready to go Mia?" Renee asked me
"Yup, I'm all packed so whenever your ready" I respondid
"Okay so I guess we'll be going then!" Neil said to everyone
So after that I went to grab my bags and give everyone hugs. then after we headed to my new home!
When I got outside I froze immidietly, there in front of me was a limo. I thougth this couldn't be there's, could it? But then they were right behind me and they proceeded to the limo. Once they were there Renee turned around,
"Are you gunna stand there all day or are you going to get in?" She laughed
I just followed her to the limo and got in, they followed right behind me. When I got in I was amazed by everything in here. There was a flat screen TV with a DVD player, a mini fridge stocked with all kinds of soda and snack. It looked like there was room for maybe ten to fifteen people in here. I was interupted when Renee started asking me questions about myself like, what's your favorite color? baby blue, how many boyfriends have you had? none, how do you like school? its okay, and the questions went on and on.
