Chapter 6

(Midnight's pov)
Me and BigBy got to Faiths husbands house but I smelled blood and I knocked the door down and saw him on the ground with a dagger in his side BigBy looked him out but he started breathing but slowly and asked for water so I quickly did and told him the news about Faith he was upset but I asked who did this to him and he said he did but he took his last breath and died in front of us I closed my eyes and got on the phone and called Snow and told her I would needed a place to burn his body she agreed and told Me Toad called and asked for some help. I agreed and ended the call but I heard movement from the closet and BigBy heard it too but a fat man came out and ran BigBy told me to stay but I didn't listen and disappeared in a flame and found him and BigBy in an alley but another man came behind BigBy and hit his head I roared at them and threw fire at them but they ran off after I got a few burn marks on them. I ran over to BigBy and healed his head with my fire that I can control and I didn't burn him soon he opened his eyes after I was done and asked what happen so I told him about the two getting away and he sighed but I knew we had to get to Toads place so I grabbed his hand and used my fire to transport us to his apartment.
(BigBy's pov)
I was shook because I never knew Midnight could do that but she saw a black figure near the window and yelled at it but it took off but once we got inside Toad told us everything and Midnight ran up the stairs and cursed about something and she sat on the stairs when she came back and said, "It's gone who ever was up here to the Woods men's axe." Toad looked down and sighed but Midnight sniffed the air and that caught my eye and said, "Toad are are you bleeding?" He looked down and took off the hat he had on and she came down the steps and looked at it and sighed she asked if we could go in his apartment and he agreed soon she asked him to sit down and she looked to me and said, "What I'm about to do is apart of me for when I was little so I'll explain why I get the nickname flames." I nod and her hands went into flames but turned a light green and she hovered her hands above Toads head and he's wound healed he looked at her and thanked her but she heard crying and she walked to TJ's room and knocked soon he came out and saw her and hugged her leg she rubbed his head and asked if he was alright. He told her he was scared but ok she smiled and said, "Good because if I found out someone hurt you I would beat them like a bug." It made him laugh and she chuckled but Snow called us saying something about the Trip trap so me and Midnight told them to be safe and we called a cab.
