Okay I am not extremely proud of this chapter, because I haven't had much time to write and this chapter was also kind of a filler chapter.

But please do tell me what you think, if you like it vote, fan and comment :) if you wish :D

The first signs of anger are always the red face, flared nostrils and heavyset eye contact, that's how I knew Krystal wasn't happy.

"Are you deaf? I said 'what the hell do you think you are doing?'" She spat the words at me.

"Umm..." I hesitated, pondering on what to say to get me out of this awkward situation.

She crossed her arms over her chest as she spoke. "Well?" She gritted her teeth angrily.

The bell rang as she finished speaking. 'Saved by the bell.' I thanked it mentally and then said to Krystal, "Got to go to class see you later." I forced a small smile, to try and not look guilty and I rushed off to homeroom.

~

During maths while Mr O'riley was writing equations on the board Ashley passed me a note.

It said 'Did you stick the note into Krystal's locker?'

I quickly scribbled 'yes.'

'Did you read it?' he scribbled back.

'Maybe...' I replied.

Then he wrote back 'has she seen it yet?'

I stared at the paper for a while debating whether to say yes, considering she watched me shove a piece of paper into her locker or to say no, because I don't know if she read it yet.

When Ashley noticed that I hadn't replied yet, he stared at me intently probably hoping he could read my mind. I decided not to reply back and tell him what happened at the start of lunch so it could be easier to explain. I also decided this in case he wanted to kill me or yell at me.

~

"She saw you!" Ashley yelled at me, but I tried to cover his mouth so people didn't hear him yelling.

"Part of the deal was you do it 'secretly," he mumbled through my fingers.

We were standing out on the oval, near the school cafeteria because 1. Every time Ashley yelled at me people gave me weird stares and 2. Krystal kept giving me death stares and I truly believe if looks could kill I would have been dead earlier this morning.

"I couldn't help the fact she saw me," I tried defending myself.

Ashley's brown eyes narrowed down at me and he moved my small hand away from his mouth.

"You promised she wouldn't see you do it!" He said hysterically. "Now she will think I like you!"

"No she wo-" Ashley put his finger to my lips, ushering me to be quiet.

Then I heard what he must have heard. The faint sound of high heels clanking on the cafeteria floor boards.

Krystal popped up behind us and said, "I knew it, you are one backstabbing b-"I cut her off.

"It’s not what it looks like." I said, cliché right? But it's true.

She scoffed. "Yeah right." Her face was full of anger and hate, but her eyes were full of hurt and I felt guilty.

Ashley stuck his big hand in my face and pushed me away, so I took that as my cue to keep my nose out of their business. But it wasn't like I helped him to get Krystal to fall in love with him without being asked. So I'm not in the wrong!

I walked back towards the school building and took a seat with Gemma and Nigel in the cafeteria.

“You shouldn’t be doing that to her, you know.” Gemma said, whilst poking her food with a fork. “You’re hurting her.”

I gaped at her. She doesn’t even know my side of the story and thinks I am trying to hurt Krystal.

I explained to Gemma what my side of the story was, and in the first few minutes of it Nigel said, “I will leave you ladies to do your girlie talk.”

Once I was done, I don’t think Gemma could have been more confused. So I had to explain the story again and use ‘less technically words.’

~

I was driving home from school, when I got a text from Joe. I probably shouldn’t look at my phone whilst driving but I still did. ‘Elline, Clare called in sick for work, could you please take her shift?’

I was going to say no, but then changed my mind, and replied with a simple, ‘Ok.’ I placed my phone back into my bag. I looked back up at the road and I was frightened.

There was a truck driving straight towards me and he was honking his horn madly. I swerved my steering wheel left to get onto the correct lane.

‘Note to self: Never ever check your phone while driving.’

Once I reached the doctors surgery, I reversed parked next to my brother’s car and got out and I noticed Clare’s shiny green car parked behind Joe’s car.  ‘That’s strange I thought she was sick.’

I swung the door open of the surgery, to find a cheery looking Clare.

“I thought you were sick?” I questioned, when I walked closer to the reception desk.

“No, I am perfectly healthy?” She said unsure.

“Then why would Joe say you were sick?” I muttered to myself.

I decided I would help Clare clean up the paperwork and organise the appointments for tomorrow, so I would have less work. When we finished I told Clare you go home early.

“You sure?” She asked with a weary expression.

“Mhmmm.” I said while nodding.

She left, and so did our last patient. So I cleaned up the reception room, thinking of things to yell at Joe. However the things I thought of to yell at him ended up being useless, because I couldn’t even fit a word in when he started yelling at me about Ashley.
