"Boom". A gun shot when off and I flinched. I started to worry a little bit. What was happening down stairs with mama and pa. I shot out of the closet uncontrollably then I ran straight for my bedroom door. I went down the stairs, right then I saw pa's arm bleeding. Mama was cleaning his wound with some hot water on a cloth.

I kept walking down the stairs. When I reached the bottom mother looked at me. "Hannah, are you alright dear," mother asked. I nodded with joy to see her. "What happened to pa, mama," I asked inquisitiely. Mama just looked at me. She breathed once then said "A bullet, Hannah, don't worry pa will be fine." Again I smiled. I still didn't know why papa was hert and also why there were solders in our farm house.

I went up the old stairs to my family's house. Carmen, my sixteen year old sister, was in my room when I entered. She was sitting on my bed. I asked "Cam, why are you in my room?" She shrugged. I walked over next to her and sat down. "Hannah, I'm scared." I put my arm around her and I said "me too, Cam." She smiled then kissed me on the forehead and left the room. "I always love that I'm the youngest sibling," I said to myself.

When the door shut behind her I opened my shutters. Army men were lining up in the corn field. I started to panic. I decided to go to my other older sisters room. I left my bedroom and I went to Julia's room. I knocked on her door softly. Julia opened the door and said "What do you want Han." I said "Look out side in the corn field." Julia rolled her eyes and said "Why would I do that." "Just do it Julie." She turned around and opened her shutters. Julia gasped. I ran over to see what was going on again. The troops out side were even bigger than before.

"What is going on outside, Hannah!?" I shook my head and said "pa said it is a dangerous war." Julie's eyes lit up in fear. She closed the shutters immediately. Me and Julia left the room and saw Camren out in the hallway.
I grabbed Camren by the wrist and me, Julia, and Camren went to our oldest sisters room. "KELLY" I yelled. She opened the door and said "Go away." Julia shook her head stubbornly. Carmen pushed Kelly out of the way and went in to her room. Me and Julia walked in after Camren.

Kelly put a grin on her face. I ignored it and opened the shutters. The dark room immediately became a gorgeous clean room. Everything was in a perfect spot and I thought that their were not even one speck of dirt. Kelly walked over and said "I told you to get out n..." She opened her mouth wide. "What is going on outside." "A war," I said scared. Kelly gasped and ran out of the room. "Kelly, weight," I yelled. I herd Kelly's frightened footsteps go down the staircase.

"Mother...Father." As soon as I heard Kelly's screams I ran after her. When I reached the first floor I saw Mama holding Kelly in her arms. She was crying and Mother kissed her on the forehead. I stepped down on to the last stair. Mama and Kelly looked at me and then mother unwrapped her arms from Kelly's shoulders. She walked towards me and said "Hannah, what do you need." I shook my head and then stared out the window. The war soldiers setups were getting worse and worse by the minute.

I couldn't watch the soldiers out side because they made me more and more scared. Mother saw me shivering on the rug when I sat down. She asked "Hannah, darling, you look scared." I nodded my head and said "What is going to happen, are to have to move." A tear ran down my face and a tear also ran down Kelly's. "Unfortunately, yes, but we're not going to have to move for a week." I frowned then stormed out of the room.
