Mya's Pov
It had seemed as if they day just went by so fast. I couldn't stop thinking about the date I had with August tonight. I was sitting in my last period, waiting for the bell to ring so that school could be over. And there it was... I scurried out the class and headed to my locker. Only to see Mo standing there with Chris flirting like they always do. And Jordan cussing out Jeremiah, While he was try to explain something to him. I laughed to myself they was always at it, I wonder what he did this time. I shook my head, and opened up my locker putting my books back in. I was wondering where August was, everyone always met at my locker after school. I looked around scanning the student body looking for him, but I'm short so it was a struggle. Where was he I thought to myself ? "Hey guys you seen August?" I said to them. Chris spoke" yeah he with Bre, they walked off somewhere." I rolled my eyes. August knew that me and Bre didn't like each other let alone be in the same room. She has always try to get August to stop being friends with me I don't know why, she hated my guts & I hated hers. Just when we all was about to walk out of school August comes running over to us. "Hey mya, can we talk for a second?" He said. " yeah what's up?"I said raising an eyebrow. He sighed and started rubbing the back of his head and started to speak. He only did that when he was about to tell me something I didn't wanna hear. "Well August I don't have all day" I said while crossing my arms. " look Mya we have to cancel tonight, Bre wants to go out tonight. I know I promised you but we can go out tomorrow?"I knew it , it was nothing new , he always put her before me. I sighed and spoke"No I'm fine August, go have fun with bre" " come on ma I know you not mad?" I raised my eyebrow again. " yes I'm mad August you always do this shit man, you know what just leave me alone okay ?" I walked off with tears forming in my eyes. Why am I so upset this happens all the time, but something just made today different. August called my name"Mya!" but I just kept walking. I finally got to my car and got in the door must have been unlocked cause Jordan, Mo, and Chris was in the car. They all looked at me." You okay girl?" Mo said "Yeah I'm fine " "you sure ?" "Mhm" I started the car and turned up the volume so I wouldn't have to speak anymore. I drop everyone off to there house and headed to mine. Mo asked me if I wanted to stay with her tonight but I told her I just wanted to be alone. I pulled in my driveway, no cars were here but mine. That meant that my mom left for her business trip and Jay & Zay went somewhere with they ugly ass friends. In case you didn't know they are my twin brothers. They look exactly like no one could tell them apart , they was older than me by a year but we all graduating this year. As for our daddy ? We don't know him. And ma don't speak about him around us. I got out the car and walked into a quiet house, went to the kitchen to get some food & then headed upstairs to my room. I walked into my room that was painted pink on the walls with my name spelled in golden letters. I had a name brand pink comforter on my queen size bed & my dressers were pink also. I laid down on my bed about to take a nap, but my phone starting ringing indicating someone was calling me. I picked my phone up of the dresser that's was close to my bed and looked at the caller ID . It was August , I sighed I really didn't wanna talk to him but I answered it anyway.
"What do you want?" I spoke with an attitude.
"Hey ma" he said. I knew he was smirking on the other end .
"Anthony what do you want?"
"I was calling to tell you I'm sorry & we need to talk so open the door."
"About what ? You say whatever you have to say on the phone."
"Mya I'm not playing games with you just open the door!" He said then hung up.
I let out a frustrated scream and walked down stairs to open the door. Like he said he was standing there towering me with his 6'3 body. "Yes August?" I said."you not gonna let me in?" He smirked. I rolled my eyes and moved over so he could come in. He walked over to the couch and sat down & asked"where's ma ?" "She's not here, let's cut the bull shit August what do you want?" I was aggravated and tired. "I came to tell you that I'm sorry and I need you to give me so advice." He said "about what?" I raised an eyebrow and folded my arms while I was still standing. I knew it was about bre , but just because I didn't like her doesn't mean I couldn't help my Bestfriend out with some advice you know. He sighed and look at with a scared look on his face. "Okay Mya don't be mad but I'm sorry for putting bre before you and-" I cut him short. " let it out August" I rolled my eyes. "Well bre is pregnant Mya, and I need your advice on what to do." He said looking at me but I couldn't look at him I just couldn't. The man I am inlove with & have been knowing my whole life since diapers is having a baby by a girl that I hated. I just thought I was going to be there first have to his baby but I guess I wasn't. I was stuck I couldn't say anything.......
