Mya's pov
"Mya we need to talk.." were the words coming from no other than Mo's cousin Kai. Who is kai? well let me put you guys on, Kai is my ex somebody that I thought I would never see again ever in life. We broke up because he too, like august was a drug dealer but only he was more into it and never stop after I begged plenty of times. But anyway kai didn't know how to treat me, he made me the laughing stock of all the girls in our high school because he slept around with them. I never felt so embarrassed in my life. One day we got into a real heated argument because I was tired of his shit, it was so bad that we broke up and I never seen him since then. Now I'm looking at him staring at me with Jordan, jeremiah, Mo, and Chris. I finally spoke " umm .. Mo why is he here?' Mo looked at him then back at me "Mya lets talk in the kitchen" we walked in the kitchen and I sat down at the table , mo did the same. "so? answer my question" I said with a stank face. " he is here because he is staying with us again" "What for why ?" I looked at her with raised eyebrows. " its personal ... but we took him back in. But look Mya he really wants to fix things with you & I think you should let him." I sighed & spoke " But for what mo, yes I still love him but I'm not going to go running back to someone who has hurt me too many times." Tears started to form in my eyes remembering everything me & kai had been through. "listen Mya you don't have to be with him just hear him out okay ? Ima send him in here and let you two talk." I nodded and wiped the tears from my eyes. I was just gonna listen to what he has to say and be done with it. Kai walked in and sat in the same chair mo got out of and spoke" Mya , how you bee..." I cut him short " kai just get on with it okay I don't have all day" " okay Mya I love you with all my heart and I am really sorry for putting you through everything. I messed up with you and I wish I can take it all back but I can't." I looked away. Kai continued. " Mya look at me please. Im sorry I will do anything for us to at least be on good terms. I miss you, hell I miss us. I just want to be friends I promise I won't try anything unless you want me too." Mya thought about it for a second and spoke. "Okay Kai, I'll give you this chance but no fuck ups or I'm completely done no matter how much you beg and plead." Kai smirked and pulled me closed and hugged her. I tensed up at first but gave in. They hugged for a longtime and all the good memories started coming back to Mya. Just as they were about to separate Mo comes and says, "oh shit, yall back together now?" "No" Me and Kai said together and laughed. " Well, what is this hugging for?" Kai looked at mya and then back at Mo and said " we just cool Mo, nothing major. I told her I'm not going to mess up this time." "Yeah, he better not because this is it." I laughed. They all walked out the kitchen back in the living room where Jordan, Jeremiah, Chris were sitting. I scanned the room seeing everyone laughing and having a good time with eachother. For a second everything felt right and like old times. "Okay yall, are we going to the mall?" Mo asked. Everyone shook there head 'yes' and headed out the door.

I finally arrived home after spending hours at the mall with mo and them. I didn't see my moms car when i pulled so maybe she is still working or out with Mo's mom. I was exhausted but needed to shower before I went to bed because I had work tomorrow. I walked into the house to see Jay and Zay's friends still here playing the play station in the living room and them screaming at the TV like idiots. I waved at them and headed up stairs to my room and put my things down and started to look through my drawers for something to wear tomorrow. I finished putting out my clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower. Just as I was about to hop in the shower I recieved a text from Kai.
Kai:
Im glad you chose to forgive me. Maybe one day we can start over and you be my girl again lol.
Me:
Idk about that yet Kai, but maybe one day. It will be something I have to think about.
Kai:
Aight baby, take all the time you need I'll wait for you.
I looked at the message and laughed. That boy is a mess and really determined to get it back right with me. I put my phone down and hopped in the shower and completed my nightly routine. After finishing up in the bathroom I headed to my room but stopped dead in my tracks to hear a voice I knew all to well. It was August. How was he here? Why was he here? I creeped down the stairs and peeped him sitting next to Zay trash talking while playing the game. I rolled my eyes and sighed then proceed to walk to the kitchen to get a snack before heading back up stairs. Zay shouted at me. " So mya you not gonna speak to august?" I looked over my shoulder while pulling out the koolaid from the fridge and spoke, "Nope." I finished pouring my drink and grabbed my bags of chips off the counter and headed up stairs. Before I could walk out the kitchen Jay and zay stood infront of me with a confused look. Here I was staring at my brothers who were 6'5 and them staring down at little ole me. After a little stare down I finaly spoke " what?" "why are you not talking to august? did he do something that he need to see us about ?" Jay replied. "No jay, i am just not on speaking terms with him. You guys can still be cool with him but im not. Now can you please move so I can go lay down?" "mya, your going tell us what happened?" Zay asked. I looked at them both and said "Nope." I then brushed past them and walked up stairs. When I walked in my room I sat on my bed and ate my chips while scrolling through my phone. After finishing them I took a sip from my drink and laid down. Five minutes in I was knocked out.
