Chapter 5: The Reunion

Serenity was in a deep sleep, Luke didn't know if she'll ever wake up out of it or not. He got up from his sleep and sat by Serenity on the bed and said "Serenity, you're a strong young girl. You have to wake up." Luke rubbed her head and then got up to check on everyone else within Reinhardt.

Meanwhile, Serenity was in a deep dream of some sort. She was wandering within her own mind, her inner space. She was walking on an aurora pathway that led to a statue. The statue had glowing eyes and wings that are big enough to block out the sun.

Serenity walked up to it and slowly touched it, but then suddenly, it started to awaken. Serenity took a few steps back and looked up at the face of the statue, as it started to crack and crumble along with its entire body. Suddenly, a blinding light radiated from the statue, and among the brightness, was an angel, liberating itself from the statue. Serenity didn't know who or what it was, looking upon its majestic attire.

The angel looked at Serenity and said "Serenity?, is....that you?" The angel started shedding tears, gravitating towards Serenity with such grace and elegance. Serenity looked at the angel and said "How do you know my name?"

The angel held out it's arms and said "You....are my daughter Serenity. I am your mother, Ariel.....Ariel Magenta."

Serenity was shocked and didn't know what to say. "M-mom...that's...really you?" Serenity said nervously. "Yes, it's me Serenity, I've always been here for you," Ariel said as she started to smile. Serenity started crying heavily and ran towards her mother. "Mom!...I miss you so much...I need you here with me." Ariel held her daughter with love and care, as she started levitating in the air with Serenity in her arms. "I will....protect you."

Serenity couldn't stop crying and held her mother even tighter. "Mom, am I...dead?" Serenity asked as she wiped her tears. "No, you're in a deep sleep. This is your inner space, where all your emotions and mental energy coexist and interact with each other, that is why you can physically see me now."

Ariel flew her over to a place where she can talk to her about what the world will look like when she wakes up. "Serenity, believe it or not, you've been asleep for 20 years." Ariel said. Serenity looked at her with a surprised look on her face. "W-what?, how this is happening?" Serenity started to panic. "Wh-what about Luke, and Sage and Reinhardt and~"

Ariel cut her off and said "Serenity listen. There are all fine." Serenity calmed down and asked, "But how do you know all this mom?" Ariel used her power to open a dimensional rift so that she can show Serenity what the world currently looks like as she was asleep. "See?, they have been protecting you from the NDA this whole time. Luke never left your side. He checked on you every minute to see if you'll awake or not, that's why he placed you in an empty home in Reinhardt to ensure that no one else knew of your whereabouts, not even the NDA."

Serenity started to understand now. "Oh my god, everything...looks different." Serenity said as she walked closer towards the dimensional rift. "This world is dying. The NDA isn't who they say they are." Ariel said. "Wait, what do you mean?" Serenity asked curiously.

Ariel closed the rift and looked at Serenity. "What they really are....is demons in disguise as human police, pretending to protect the world from bad guys, when they really want to convert humans into demons, propagating their army and malignancy across the entire world, until its leader, the commissioner, has total domination over all living beings in this world."

Serenity clenched her fist and looked towards Ariel and said. "What can I do to stop this mom? I know I have you but, it can't be enough." Ariel was thinking of a plan. "Hmm, you will have to build your own army Serenity. There are many others out there that have special abilities." Ariel held her hands out and it started to glow, creating a mystic map.

"Here, take this, it will guide you to all of the ones who can assist you." Ariel handed Serenity the map. "It will manifest in your hand when you awaken." Serenity looked at Ariel and said "Thank you mom." Ariel smiled.

"So, how do I get outta here?" Serenity asked as she looked around. "I'll wake you from your slumber Serenity." Ariel said as she came towards Serenity. Ariel held Serenity's head on both sides with hands as her eyes started to glow. "Mom, will I be able to use your powers?" Serenity asked.

"When you're emotionally hostile towards your enemies, your eyes release black tears, which acts as a catalytic substance to summon me from the ashes in the silver jars." Serenity nodded her head in agreement and said "Okay, I understand."

Before Ariel completed the awakening, Serenity told her "I love you mom." Ariel smiled and said "I love you too Serenity, my greatest treasure." Ariel faded away and Serenity returned to the real world, as she awakened.

She opens her eyes slowly, looking around to see if Luke was there, he wasn't. She looked down at her right arm and saw the mystic map that her mother gave her and sat up, moaning in pain. "L-luke, are you there?" Serenity said as she got up off the bed.

She walked towards the window and pulled back the curtains and said "Oh my....god." She couldn't believe what was happening outside. She saw red clouds, demons flying towards a single location, dead bodies everywhere, and just chaos. She didn't know what to do, plus she doesn't even know if Luke is still alive.

Keep in mind, it's been 10 years since she last saw him while she was in a deep sleep, so she doesn't know what she's gonna see or expect once she walks out the door. "Luke, if you're out there, I hope you're okay."

Serenity took a few steps back from the window and turned towards the mirror. "Is that...really me?" Serenity asked herself as she walked towards the mirror slowly. Her hair gotten longer, passing her shoulders and down her back, bangs going across her forehead, and she gotten a little taller. She looked down and said "Wha-what the...I have boobs? She said to herself surprisingly. "And a butt too?......Whoa."

Serenity was just amazed at how long its been and took a deep breath and said "It's time to save this world from a great calamity that's come upon us. I'm not afraid anymore more. I promise you mom, I will save everyone, with the help of the others with powers like me. I will extinguish this inferno and purify the earth with the guidance and powers I have from my mother. So....here it goes!"

Serenity took a shower and clean herself off, found new clothes to wear, and packed everything she needed for the Armageddon she's about to walk into.

She kissed the silver jar and said "I love you mom, let's go save the world...together." Serenity fixed her hair and opened the door, taking a single step outside as she took a deep breath and said "This....is the beginning of the end."
