Chapter 10

***Amy P.O.V***

After we completed the mating process we dressed each other and decided to stay at Chad's and just hang out and watch movies.

We were in Chad's room on his bed watching Battle: Los Angeles on his huge tv that was mounted to the wall. It's his favorite movie and I decided to let him pick it out. I was laying on his chest with my hand and fingers tracing his 8 pack while his arm was wrapped around me. His fingers were under my shirt, skimming my back lightly.

I was beginning to feel drowsy till I couldn't fight it then gave in and became swarmed with darkness. It felt like 5 seconds but in reality it turned out to be a couple of hours.

'Amy'. Chad's voice softly entered my head.

I stirred.

"Hm?" I grumbled.

'Amy'. His voice called again.

I rolled over, off of Chad's chest and fell straight to the floor, face first. I hit the floor with a loud thud.

"Okay, okay!! Im awake!!" I yelled and thrust my eyes open as soon as I hit the floor, my vision still blurred.

I blinked them furiously, trying to regain my sight.

Chad jumped up and scrambled off the covers before he ran over to me and picked me up.

"You okay? You hit the floor pretty hard." He dropped me back on the bed, and hovered over me. "I'm fine, just scared the shit out of me." I said flatly.

"I-" Chad was cut off by the dings of his doorbell. He let out a puff of breath. "I'll get it." He said then pecked my cheek before he was gone.

I leaned forward and sat upright. I ran my fingers through my hair then stood up and walked over to the mirror on his wall. I looked at myself for a couple seconds then decided to see who was at the door.

When I rounded the corner and my eyes laid on the strangers at the door, I instantly froze and became extremely tense. 'Oh. My. Hell.' I said through mind link to Chad. On his doorstep stood 2 soldiers in uniform, both with a pained expression. The one on the left was tall and very built, his chest stuck out and his shoulders seemed to go on forever, much bigger than Chad. He had a wide stance and his name tag read Foster. The one on right was taller than Foster but was scrawny compared the muscle mass of Foster, his tag, Cox. Chad stood frozen as all three exchanged looks with each other.

Oh no. Chad's brother. Something has happened to him.

'No.' Chad said through the link. 'This can't be happening.'

I ran over to Chad who was clutching the doorknob, so hard that his whole arm veined and began to shake, and threw my arms around his neck.

"Chad." I pleaded and began to cry. Chad's brother was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 and has been there ever since, he was a brother to me to.

Chad finally let go of the knob and stood there with his hands limp at his sides, and stared at the ground, his eyes beginning to water.

"Chad, I'm, so sorry." I said and buried myself into him. He finally lifted his arms and drooped them around me and squeezed me, I then felt something warm fall onto the top of my head. Chad was crying, this was the first time he has cried in front of me. We stood there in silence and cried into one another.

Foster spoke first, breaking the silence.

"Son." He said stepping forward, Cox right behind him.
