"Hey mom, I came by myself today" Amu slightly laughed as she entered the hospital room.

"Why's that?" Amu's mother questioned softly. Then she quickly examined her daughter.
"What happened to your arm?"

Amu jumped.
"Haha.. Nothing serious, don't worry about it"

"Oh, alright"

The girl shrugged as she pulled out a chair. "So.. Where's dad?"

"..Oh.. The doctors are doing some tests right now" her mother choked.

Amu's heart pounded. "Did something happen!?"

Her mother shook her head.
"Don't worry about it"

"Don't worry about it!? Mom! He's my father, I can't just stop worrying about someone I love! What happened?"

Her mother sighed.
"Nothing major, it was just... Your father's heart monitor went crazy last night but overall was fine. So the doctors are trying their best to figure out what happened"

"Oh.. Well.. How long are you going to be staying?"

"Just for another 3 weeks I'm sure" her mother smiled.

Amu turned her head to hear knocking on the door. "Come in!" She called out.

"Uhm. I am deeply sorry to ruin your visit but we need to finish some tests from last week"

Amu noticed her mother's face turn sad. Her eyes were close as if she was pleading to stay...
"I'm sorry my daughter.. I'll call you when the tests are done, you can return home. I love you"

The girl hugged her mother tightly, assuring that everything will be okay.
"Bye mom.. See you soon, Love you"

........

As the hours went by, Amu had gone to pick Ami up.

"So is mommy okay?" her sister asked.

Amu shrugged. "She said she was feeling better but I could tell she wasn't"

"Oh.." Ami sounded disappointed.

"I'm sorry"

"It's okay sissy"

Eventually the two girls bumped into Ikuto who was looking through the window of a bakery.

He turned around with an awkward smile.

"You want something, don't you?" Amu laughed as she poked his chest in a teasingly matter.

"No, it's not that" he said.
"Just looking at these cakes.."

Amu examine the tall, three tier cakes on display. "Aren't those wedding cakes?"

The boy nodded his head.
"Maybe someday" he sighed.

"Sissy you're face is red!" Ami called out.

"What?! No it isn't!" Amu turned around out of embarrassment

Ikuto laughed to himself, having his hand cover his mouth.
Amu pouted, kicked her heel then went into the store.

As the embarrassed girl looked through the menu that was printed neatly on a board that hung on the wall, she smiled.

She pointed to a cake that was on the display case, the baker nodded and went out back, into the kitchen. Shortly after, the cashier brought out the same cake which was inside a baby blue box with white stripes.

The girl pulled out her wallet, paid for the cake then left the bakery.

"Okay baby 1 and 2- How about we go home, have a nice meal and then eat some cake!"
