Quick Author's Note: This chapter is skippable, so if you don't want to read this, go ahead! This is just a little Christmassy one-shot in the spirit of the holidays. This takes place in the Black Thunder universe, but later in the storyline. I hope you guys enjoy it! I also had to make a quick edit (lol) so I'm sorry that I had to essentially publish it twice 😂

"Mark...Mark...Wake up! Wake up!"

"What..." Mark rolled over groggily in his bed to see Jackson practically jumping up and down in his pajamas.

Jackson grabbed Mark's hands tightly. "Let's make Christmas cookies! Come on, it'll be fun." Jackson's eyes were lit up like a Christmas tree and he began shaking Mark's arms to wake him up.

Mark pushed Jackson's hands away and pulled the covers back over him. "It's so late..." he groaned.

"Says the person who goes to sleep at 2 on a daily basis-"

"Oh shut up," Mark mumbled, muffled by his blankets. "How are we getting into the kitchen anyways?"

Jackson kneeled on Mark's bed and ripped the covers off of Mark's body. "Don't you have a kitchen card?" he muttered, determined to get Mark's butt out of bed and into the kitchen.

Mark shook his head, trying to get his blankets back. "I gave it to Taeyong earlier," he mumbled, annoyed. "He'll give it to me tomorrow."

Jackson put his hands on his hips. "Yeah? What's that on your desk?"

Confused, Mark sat up in his bed, shivering from the winter cold. He slid off the bed and walked over to his desk. Just like Jackson had said, a little white plastic card labeled "Kitchen" was placed neatly on his desk.

"Aren't you sore?" Mark yawned, slipping on a sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants. Knowing Jackson, he knew he'd have to make Christmas cookies with him sometime.

Jackson grinned. "Nope! Come on, it's almost eleven!"

Mark rolled his eyes, but even he had a little glint in his eyes despite his sleepy state. "Alright, alright, wait for me."

Jackson pulled the door open and let the two of them out. After silently shutting the door, the duo crept through the maze-like hallways of the agency in the dark. Jackson held Mark's hand tightly as they made their way down the stairs to the kitchen. He felt his way around the doors until he felt the chill of a metal wall.

"Will you do the honors?" He asked the figure behind him. Grinning, Mark held onto Jackson's arm as he slid his kitchen card through the slot. It gave off a little beep, and Mark pushed the door open. Jackson shoved Mark inside and shut the door quickly.

"I'm so excited!" Jackson said, squealing and jumping up and down. All of a sudden, Jackson felt a bundle of cloth being chucked at his face. "Ah! What's this?"

"Shhh...." Mark hushed him. Jackson pulled off the mysterious cloth to reveal that it was actually an apron. The two of them washed their hands and began to hunt for ingredients. Mark had already put on his apron and tied it tightly around his body, and he was already hunting around for the flour and sugar. With a little smile, Jackson tied his own apron on and stood next to Mark.

"Can you get the eggs?" Mark asked him, concentrating on measuring the flour into a big bowl.

After Jackson dutifully fetched the eggs from the fridge, he paced up to Mark and and gave him a little pout. "Can I help put the eggs in? Pleaaaaseeeee????"

Mark looked up from stirring the dry ingredients to see Jackson's pleading face. His face twisted a little bit in thought. "Fine," he said, turning his attention back to the dough. "But later, later. Can you get the stand mixer, please?"
