There's a fire in my chest
That began with a spark
She fanned it to flame
But died by the dark
I waited through night
I slept through the day
And when the wind came
It blew her away
I left my own home
To drift in the stars
But I was tied to the earth
And couldn't reach far
I missed her kind warmth
When I drifted astray
That line seemed to snap
My hope gone away
But a wind came by
Warmer than the last
It brought back that line
And to home I was cast
My feet touched the ground
I felt a tug in my heart
The string was still there
But lead to a new start
It lead not to darkness
It lead not to my fears
Not to pain, loss or sorrow
But a brighter frontier
That spark, it now glows
Brighter than a coal
Not as bright as the sun
But I'm no longer cold
That string, it remains
And forevermore shall it stay
For with it guiding my hand
I'll never lose my way
