That One Cheesy Chritmas Story (Christmas Special) {Jay x Reader}

Okay, before anything will happen, I want to greet all of you a Merry Christmas! Now, this chaoter maybe rushed because, well, it was written on Dec. 24 for petesake! Anyways, enjoy and have a Joyeux Noël!

Btw, this story is written in first person.

      It was as snowy as ever outside. The white mass covered the supposed green grass outside. It was pretty, no doubt, but hell did it freeze during this time of year. I glance over to the book I was holding, Underneath the Mistletoe, as you could guess by the title, this was another Christmas romance novel. Yes, it did involve two human beings, a mistletoe, and a romantic kiss. I wasn't really into this kind of cliché stuff, but it was on my bookshelf so why not? "Got a moment, Y/N?" I glance up and see a ginger-haired boy leaning against the door frame.

"What is it now, Jay?" I reply.
"We need somewhere to hang the mistletoe!" He whines.

         I look at Jay and give him the 'you cannot be serious look'. He chuckles then it is followed by a sigh. He turns around then exits the room. I roll my eyes and pay my attention back to my book. Why am I reading this in the first place? I close the book and make my way downstairs.

         The living room was a living chaos. (Badum tss) Kai was running around with Christmas lights in his hand, Jay was trying his best to hang the mistletoe on the ceiling, Cole was trying to cook, Zane was decorating the tree, and Lloyd was chasing Kai all round the room. I walk up to Zane and ask, "What's been going on in here?"

"Well, Lloyd had the lights, but then Kai stole them, and Jay has been trying to hang the mistletoe to get the two," he answers.
"He literally ships Greenflame?" I ask in disbelief.
"Yes," he sighs.

        I leave the white ninja be and get on with my business. I sit on the couch near the tree. This chaos was just to amusing to leave honestly. While the thoughts rattled on in my head, I didn't notice Jay had sat beside me. "What ya doing?" He asks.

"Watching the oh-so amusimg chaos," I reply.
"Anything else?" He asks.
"Given up on trying to get the two to kiss?" I reply.

         He looks at me with embarrassment flushing his face. He rolls his eyes and looks away, but I think I did see a light blush on his cheeks. Why does he have to be so cute? There goes my logical thoughts. "Umm, yes," he answers with a sheepish voice.

"Come on, there's nothing wrong with that," I chuckle.
"Really?" He says like a little kid.
"Yes, Jay. I would have done the same with Evie and Henry. If they were real that is," I answer. (Where my Evie Frye and Henry Green shippers at? AC Syndicate for da win)

          He replies with a chuckle. I pay my attention back to the chaos. Kai and Lloyd seemed to have fallen down into pile of Christmas ornaments. Cole was probably putting poison into his dish. Zane on the other hand was nowhere to be seen.  "What's been going on here?" Nya runs downs the stairs and helps her brother up.

"Um, shit has been going on," Lloyd replies with a small laugh.
"Very funny, Garmadon," Cole says.
"When's dinner gonna be ready?" Jay whines.
"Almost ready," Zane replies.

          Cole looks at the white ninja with a looks of confusion. Zane looks back at him with a small grin. He then proceeds to go back to the kitchen because absolutely no one is going to let Cole cook. Heck we might end up in our graves if he did.

    Dinner was absolutely amazing. At least Zane had the brains to save our lives. The rest of the ninja had already started chatting and playing games in the living room. The games mostly involved the infamous mistletoe. "Hey, want to join us?" I turn back and see Lloyd.

"What are you playing now, Lloyd?" I ask.
"Uh, I honestly don't know with the guys, but I did hear it involves you and Jay," he replies.
"Fine, I'll meet you there," I sigh.

       Lloyd nods and exits my room. I tie my hair in a loose ponytail and head downstairs. Once I do get downstairs, I see Kai and Cole hanging up the mistletoe on top of Jay. How does he not notice? Oh right, he was talking to Zane. "Hi," I greet.

"Hey, Y/N. Come to join us?" Cole asks.
"Well, what else. I didn't just come here to dilly-dally," I reply.

       Cole responds with a chuckle while Kai finishes hanging the mistletoe. I try my best to avoid Jay since he is underneath it. This reminds me of the book I was reading. A group of friends hang the mistletoe on top of someone and then they push the one who likes them then they confess, and they lived happily ever after.

       I continue to walk around the living room again, trying my best at avoiding the mistletoe. Snapping me out of my thoughts, someone pulls my arm and before I know it I'm in front of Jay. "Well, this isn't a surprise,"  I say rolling my eyes.

"Y-Y/N, look up," Jay says, a light blush creeping up his cheeks.
I do as told, "Oh shit."

        There I was, right in front of Jay. I was in front of the guy I have a crush on, and we were both underneath a fucking mistletoe. This was the most awkward thing ever. "What are you two waiting for?" Lloyd chuckles.

"You know what this reminds me of?" I say.
"What?" Jay asks.
"That one cheesy Christmas novel I was reading," I answer.

       Without warning, Jay lifts my chin up and softly kisses me. I was taken by surprise of course, considering the fact that I didn't know he actually kissed me. This had to be a joke. I was wrong. He deepens the kiss, and I give in. I hear the others cheering and hooting. You could consider this another cheesy Christmas story, but I consider it one of the best Christmas presents ever.
