Things That Hide in the Dark (Halloween Special)

This isn't a usual reader x ninja oneshot because I'm just going to go with the flow with this one~

The night is creepy as it is, but during Halloween, you bet that it is creepy as all hell. The ninja were busy downstairs putting up the decorations and scaring shit out each other. I heard Jay scream while Cole and the rest laughed their asses off. I role my eyes and stare out the window. Coincidentally enough, fog was covering the land outside and giving the ominous vibe every scary movie has. (They're in the Airjitzu Temple btw) Just at the corner of my eye, I see something move quickly. Please don't tell me a ghost wants to say hi. I look over in that direction, and luckily nothing was there.

I quickly go downstairs and join the others. Not surprisingly, they were still goofing around and shoving foam ghosts in each others faces. I sit beside Kai who looks like he had enough shit from all of them. He looks at me with a surprised face, and I chuckle in response.

"Para kang nakakkita ng multo," I tease. (It's like you saw a ghost)

"What? You know I can't understand Filipino," he says.

"I don't care," I chuckle.

He playfully nudges me, and I pretend to be extremely hurt. He rolls his eyes in respone. I chuckle and pay my attention back to the goofs. Lloyd was hanging decorations, Jay was disturbing Zane from cooking, and Cole was shoving skeletons in Lloyds face. Seems normal to me.

Atleast an hour passes, and everyone has settled down. I started chatting with everyone, and all of us were having a good time. Unluckily, it started to rain outside. I hear Jay groan and complain about how he can't hang his spooks outside anymore. Cole hits his head and there go the two. I look outside the window. The rain was pouring hard, and the fog still remained. Scary movie aesthetic right there. I looks closely in the nearby bushes and trees. A figure seemed to move. I blink once, and it was gone. I could have sworn that...

"Hey, Y/N! The treats are ready!" Jay says.

"Coming!" I reply taking one last glance.

I shrug it off and go to the dining room. All of the guys were stuffing themselves with candy and other sweets. Good god, it's gonna be hell later. I take a seat and grab Choc-nut from the bowl which surprisingly was there. We all laugh and have a good time until the wind blows a window open and the light goes off. Jay and Cole scream like cowards, and Zane goes to close the window. Now, we were surrounded in darkness. Only the light emitting from our phones gave us a slight aid.

"Is anyone pulling a prank?!" Jay asks.

"I doubt it," I reply.

"Doubt it?!?! We are surrounded in darkness on Halloween, and you're so calm?!" Jay says in a panic.

"Jay, calm your ass down. It won't help if you shout like a mad man," Lloyd says.

We all nod in agreement, and Jay moans. We all move from the dining room to the living room. We all take a seat in a circle, so our phones can cast more light. Jay looked like he was about to explode which I wouldn't blame him since we are in darkness in a creepy temple.
