Down in the Forest we'll sing a chorus, one that everybody knows.

I walked. Very simple isn't it? I just walked. With my hands in the pockets of my black jumper in the blazing summer heat. Looking down at the hard concrete floor that i had chosen to walk on. Nobody would care where i was going. Nobody will. They hate me.
Worthless

As I walk, the existence of civilization began to fade as the noise of there constant chattering and judging stares were replaced by the chirping of birds in the sky. The swaying of the trees that seem all around me as they blew with the upcoming wind. The crunching of the oddly satisfying leaves under my worn out sneakers.

I notice the ground that i was staring at starting to become unsteady, as the ground swapped the plain concrete that was sending me insane into a dirt path with bright green grass and leaves that are falling as gravity takes its hold on the world. Roots are sticking out like my hair after waking up on a not so nice morning.
I look up with my dark brown eyes as i observe my surroundings that i had walked into.

Deep dark trees had engulfed me. With the slight smell of safe.
I didn't feel judged by the people staring at me with my scarred up face covered up by my jumper and my hands in my pockets with sadness crashing off of me like waves hitting the sand bank.
I didn't feel like i was a lost child with no one to go to. I felt like this was my home.
Home.
The sound of that in my thoughts made me light up inside. I never had a home where i was safe and loved.

I pause my walk and took place at a tree beside me that seemed pity me. Taking my sneakers off to gently feel the grass underneath my toes. Exploring the world of the forest with my eyes that no long said the word depressed.
The sound of the animals that also called this place home, screaming welcome.
I felt whole again.
I noticed that the wind that was growing stronger was bringing in the smell of oncoming rain. Telling me its time to go to the horrid place called home for some people.
Time to go to the place with my family that are not really my family after all.
The forest is my family now.
It will never judge me for being who i am.
