My eyes slowly open. My head aches, but I'm alive. I look around me and notice I'm in a hospital, laying in a bed. The room is grey and on the left side of me is the door and on the right is a giant window and...Someone's next to me. Noah. He's crying on right if my bed.
"Noah..." He's holding my hand tight. He stands and leans forward. He kisses my forehead. Is didn't hurt, but my head still feels like it has an eternal headache.
"I'm glad your alright. My father has taken care of everything. They're in jail." He sits back down, takes my hand again, and sighs. He looks down to the floor. Ignoring his tears, I remove my hand from his and place it on his head. He looks back up to me and lightly leans against my hand. He places his hand over mine. "I'm sorry. I did this to you." I try sitting up and place my other hand on the other side of his head and place lean forward and place my forehead against his. "You know I never meant to hurt you."
"I know..." both of our eyes closed. My heart pounding, but I'm happy. I lightly open my eyes. I guess he was kind of embarrassed because his face was a little red. I think I'm blushing too. I can feel the warmth in my cheeks. I let his face go and lean back in the bed resting my arms to my sides. Noah's face turned back to his normal shade and he was looking out the window. Looking at him, I never noticed him like this. He's sitting in a brown hospital chair next to the window. His dark hair shining against the sunlight and his beautiful eyes turning to a bright turquoise blue in the light. Amazing. Noah looks back at me and I can't help, but stare. The door opens on the other side of me. Noah's father wakes in. And looks at both of us.
"The doctor said you can leave tomorrow morning. Though he wants you to stay over night to make sure you'll be alight. Then I'll have my driver to take you to the airport to get home."
"Actually, Luna would like to stay with us and both of us just need time to get to know each other first before anything happens." Noah says. Mr. Minnik looks at me. I nod my head in agreement.
"Alright. Let me make a few calls and I'll be back." He walked out and closed the door behind him. I look to Noah. He's looking at me.
"Luna?"
"Yes, what is it?"
"Did you mean what you said?" When I said what?
"About what?" Is this about when I told him I...
"About when you said that you... love me? Did you really mean it?"
"What do you think?" Of course I love him, but he can't just expect me to admit it now.
"I don't know what to think."
"Well a start would be thinking... do you love me? At least that's what I would ask." I just want to know. Please...
"I... I don't know... if I do... or not." Is he serious?!
"You don't know?" My emotions have just hit the floor. "What do you want from me?!" I yell at him. Not just to his face, but to his heart... I'm crying...
"Luna, I didn't mean it like that."
"Well then what do you mean?! Please tell me because all I see is that you love me for one moment and the next you push me away?! What do you want?!"
"I don't know!" Noah gets up out of the seat and storms off out the door. Why did I ever think he actually cared... I should leave. Now. I press the nurse call button. A nurse comes in shortly after.
"I want to leave now please."
"Wait for a moment, let me hit talk to the doctor." He gave me permission later that day. I left. I got into a cab and went back to the house. I got my things and left a letter for Noah. He needs to understand.Dear Noah,
I'm sorry for leaving, but this is what I think is best for both of us. I love you. I always will love you. I know you wanted to learn more about me so I'll tell you. As a young girl my childhood was a nightmare. My parents were murdered when I was about five years old and I was forced to live with my aunt. I grew up without any friends. My only friends were the maids and other people that raised me as a child. I was homeschooled and my aunt paid the teacher more than enough money to teach me for hours on end. When I turned sixteen my aunt sent me to an all girls school where they taught us to cook, clean, and basically teach us how "be a proper lady." While I was there I was bullied and never gained any friends. When I finally came home last year. My aunt told me that I was going to marry you and that's how I got here. Thanks to you I was able to learn what it was like to live and care for someone. I hope that one day you'll find the one your meant to love. If you need to talk to me just call my cell number. 541-279-4277. I love you. Goodbye.
Love, Luna
