Barry Allen x Reader

You are just running through the city in your special purple running suit when you see someone sprinting past you. It's 'The Flash'. The red suit and the yellow flash following him. You stop and the other flash in a shade of a light purple behind you vanishes quickly. The person stops a few feet in front of you before turning around. In a normal human pace he walks towards you. "Who... are you?" He asks changing his voice. "Barry I know who you are. You don't have to change your voice. And you know who I am too." "Do I?" He chuckles. That cute chuckling of his. You stand right in front of him now. Slowly your hands move to his mask before pulling it off. Your mask is covering your face but Barry is looking deeply into your eyes. "(Y/N)? What? N-no. That's impossible." Now he's the one removing your mask. Barry stumbles backwards a little bit. "No Barry don't walk away now! You can't be that surprised. You are a meta-human too!" You two are co-workers although you aren't a forensic scientist. You work together with Joe, Iris's father. Barry, Iris and you are best friends since you met Barry at the police department for the first time. But you two already knew before the particle accelerator exploded and a lot of people turned into creatures with special powers like you and Barry. He starts running away with his super-speed but you catch up on him quickly. "Barry you may be fast but I'm always as fast as you. I don't know why but I'm not stupid and I found out that we have a connection. If you lose your speed then I'll lose mine too!" Barry doesn't stop running but you keep sprinting next to him. All of a sudden he stops and you realise that he lured you into the S.T.A.R. Labs building. You stand next to Harrison Wells, Dr. Snow and the other weird guy with long hair whose name you forgot and who's also grinning like an idiot. "Barry!" You yell at him while slapping him with super-speed. "Oooow!" You quickly exit the building but Barry follows you instantly. Again you two race through the city but suddenly two strong arms wrap around your waist from behind stopping you. He doesn't let go of you. "Barry leave me alone!" "I didn't want to put you in the prison we have in the particle accelerator. I want them to help you like they helped me. They helped me a lot and as far as I know you don't have someone that tells you what to do. I just thought that they could make a few tests okay?" "I can do that on my own or why do you think I have this suit?! Now let me go!" His arms still don't let go of you. Slowly he turns you around his grip tightening but still not hurting you. You move and try to get away from his arms although it doesn't work. "Hey, hey, hey! (Y/N) look at me!" "Please." He adds whispering while lowering his head and breaking the eye contact. Slowly you stop moving around like you'd be insane and look at him. "Please (Y/N). I could never forgive myself if you get hurt because you don't know what's happening to you or because some evil meta-human or whatever attacks you!" After you give him a questioning look you sigh, close your eyes and lean your forehead against his chest while his arms still hold onto you. "And why is that?" You mumble. "Because you are one of my best friends, I, I mean...of course I care a-about you, um, y-yeah." He stutters nervously all of a sudden. *Best friend. Wow friendzoned by him once again.* You just think but eventually give in and run to S.T.A.R Labs with him. "Hey guys!" You greet Dr. Snow, Harrison Wells and the other weird guy in an unsteady voice.

After the tests you exit the room with the special treadmill. Barry is waiting for you in front of  the door smiling at you dreamily. "You know your suit is awesome, right?" Cisco states when he looks over to you. "Thanks I guess but I practically just copied Barry's." You chuckle. "That's why it's so awesome." Cisco responds grinning while exiting the cortex. "How you feeling? Exhausted?" Barry asks smiling at you. "Hungry! I need a burger. Or many burgers." You give him a smile. He chuckles looking down for a second. "Come on I'll pay." Barry offers grabbing his jacket. "Umm Barr, do you have some clothes for me first 'cause I don't feel like running home again now." Innocently you look down. "Oh yeah right, I forgot. Sorry. I, I could run home to you and get you some clo...only if you're okay with that I mea-" "Here you go (Y/N)." Caitlin suddenly enters the cortex throwing a jeans and a sweater in your direction. Quickly you catch the clothes and giggle at Barry's nervousness. "Thank you Caitlin. And thanks to you too Barr." You peck his cheek before quickly changing into the clothes. "Is the Flash ready?" You ask suddenly standing next to him. "I guess so." "But I'd prefer a normal, more human-like pace right now." Laughing you look into his eyes. "Okay...Damn Cisco really has to think of a name for you."
