To start off, let me just say that I know AT LEAST three people (including myself) that hated the thought of this couple. (Go GraLu for those that hate this ship) Let me explain. I have watched all of the episodes up to Fairy Tail's break up, so I know what I'm talking about.
This ship is pointless. Gray has no feelings for Juvia that are more than friendship and family. Every time Gray saves Juvia is either because (in the first episode with Juvia) he believes that she is a better person than her guild's reputation or she is in danger. He never shows any sign of caring for her more than he cares for Levy or Erza. He shows more emotion to Lucy than anyone else. That is why I hate this ship.

Ok, I know that this ship becomes canon, and I may not like it, but I don't like the ending even worse. No spoilers, so PM me if you want to REEEEAAAALLLLLY know the ending and why I don't like it. All I'm gonna say is that Juvia is annoying, but I don't hate her THAT much. It's kind of like how I felt about Zoë Nightshade from PJO: TTC.
