"Brother, what have you done?" Glenda yelled as she stormed in.
Baramis sat at the grand table preparing for war in full armor ready for battle. His followers have called upon him and he swore to uphold his end of the promise. Their prayers is what gave him strength. That strength has kept him alive all these years. The more people he pleased the more followers he got. With more followers came more strength. Being a God wasn't all glamorous as they led people to believe. Thinking that all the gods did was sit around and party and listen to prayers. The scars all over Baramis' body was proof enough that was a lie.
"Sister, how good of you to knock." he sarcastically said as he looked up from his maps.
"Brother, how could you?"
From looking at his sister at first glance he could tell that she was upset. Claudia was not the type to be seen without makeup or her wardrobe imperfect so seeing her as she was before him now only gave a glimpse of the sarrow she truly felt. Her eyes was red and her makeup had ran from tears. Her hair was a wreck and her gown had wine stain on it. If Baramis wasn't certain about it it could have been mistaken for blood.
In fact Baramis is known as the God of War. Some even know him as the God of Death. He would notice the smell of blood as soon as she entered the room.
As much death he has seen he has came a custom to it. Many believe he is death himself. He is cold hearted you have to be when it comes to death. He never lets anyone close not even his own sister. After all love will get you killed."Sister, I do not not have time for these little childish games. Quit speaking in questions and tell me what this is all about." He said coldly.
His deep voice made women fall to their knees and men shook at very sound of his voice. Everyone feared him except for his sister. She always tried to find the good in her brother. Though sometimes it was hard to find. Claudia never gave up hope to changing her brother.
"You killed him." she threw a bloody dagger that she was holding to the ground.
Baramis looked at it for a moment for it was no ordinary dagger. It was gold with black jewels. If anyone other than Claudia touched that dagger it would have killed them. The dagger was Baramis' and only of his blood could hold that dagger.
His father gave him that dagger just before his death and he swore to protect it."Where did you get that?" he asked he came around the table.
"The man.. you killed my husband." she cried hysterically as the idea of her husband was gone from her.
"Sister I assure you that I have not got a clue of whom you speak." he said picking up the dagger then turning to his sister.
"You.." She screamed and her powers shook the ground. " You will pay for this brother. Mark my words. "
A gray smoke like magic formed around Claudia. Her feet began to lift off the ground as she began to float. Baramis shield his eyes from her power as he tried to control her. He has never seen his sister with this much fury.
"You will never know love. You will be cursed to wall forever alone. You will never feel pain nor hope. Hear me know brother. You will never age yet the ones you love will and once you know true lost will you be set free. No go roam the lands that you feel to deeply to protect. Watch how they run from you when you will become the beast that you truly are."
"Sister please..." Baramis pleaded with his sister.
Then as she spoke the smoke encircled him. His bones began to crack and pop as his sister watched as her beloved brother become a beast. He let out a scream that shook her to her very core. The very ground beneath him opened and as a howl slipped out he fell to earth. It was only then that Claudia realized what she has done. She cried for her brother.
"Heed this curse that the beast within you will remind you of your sins brother. The sway of my moon will bring it out. You can break it once you know what it is to fill true lost. Only then will you be able to return."
The man awoke not knowing where he was or what had happened much less who he was. He rose up on his hands and knees. His body ached all over and he felt drained. Looking around he noticed the bodies all around him. They looked like a wild animal had gotten a hold of them. The night before was just a blur. Did he do this?
As he rose up to his knees he noticed that his clothes was torn to shreds. Trying to stand was unbearable but he needed to get away before someone came along and saw what was left of these people. It didn't look good. Most of the men around him was soldiers and if someone came down the road they wouldn't have listened to reason. The mind only believes what it wants it to.
Slowly he rose to his feet. Taking a step was like he had not walked in ages and his body was just now remembering how. Grabbing the dagger with black jewels that laid beside him. He couldn't remember if it belonged to him or not but he knew he needed to keep it. Why was his memories taken from him? he questioned as he walked slowly.
"You there, stop!!" Someone ordered from behind him.
He took off running into the woods with the sound of whistles and yelling came in behind. He was faster then the people chasing him. As he ran he began to remembered some of his memories. The memory of his sister came back to him yet he couldn't remember his own name. The words of her curse played in his mind as he ran for his life. How long was he going to have to run?
"Sister what have you done to me?" He yelled to the sky.
There was no answer. There never was. Years went by and yet he never knew who he once was. He just knew he didn't belong on this planet. He didn't age yet when his beast took over once a month he thirst to kill. He swore he would kill his sister if he ever got a hold of her. For doing this to him. Never to know love. Never to fill what love truly is. Yes he would kill whoever did this to him.
