1:23 AM
I'm on my 4th YouTube video.
2:56 AM
7th video.
3:34 AM
11th video.
5:06 AM
21st video.
I'm really tired.
7:17 AM
30th video. My eyes felt like they were burning because they had been glued to my computer screen.
8:00 AM
My dad walks in just as I finish my 35th video. I feel like a zombie.
"Wow, you're up early! What's the occasion?"
"I don't know-" I'm interrupted by a yawn coming from my mouth. "Just woke up I guess."
"Alright, well I have to go to work now. I'll see you tonight honey." He kisses my head and walks out.
Then I realize I have less than an hour to get ready and get to the stadium.
So I move faster than I ever have before, getting dressed, throwing cold water on my face to wake myself up, brushing my hair and teeth, gathering all my stuff. At 8:26, I'm out the door, and driving to what would probably be my doom.
My best friend's mom, back in the US, had been a hair stylist. I was at her hair salon a lot, and I would watch her sometimes. So that was one tiny thing that I had going for me.
I recall all of the YouTube videos I had watched last night, and all of the articles I read on how to do hair.
I'm so screwed.
At 8:50, I'm at the stadium. I sit in my car for a few minutes, trying to tell myself that everything would be fine.
I grab all my stuff and hurry into the stadium. Inside, a few people were waiting for me. Most of them looked surprised when they saw me. But when Mrs. Park stepped out, they all listened as she introduced me to them.
One of the men, Junho, was the first to speak.
"You are very young. You can really do hair?"
I nod, not letting myself speak.
"Well, come with me. V has agreed to let you show us what you can do on his hair." Mrs. Park says, leading me down a hallway.
After a few moments of walking, we stop in front of a door.
"The boys should be in here." Mrs. Park opens the door.
And I come face to face with BTS.
Omg omg omg okay stay calm don't scream omg omg I can't believe this omg what.
"Boys, this is Annabelle Trent. She will hopefully be your new hair stylist until we can find a permanent one."
I bow to them, and when I come up from my bow, I am smiling from ear to ear. I was so happy and excited.
