In the weeks that followed, Sal and Chris got close but kept what was going on between them a secret from the guys. Chris was loving her job and didn't want to chance losing it because she was getting involved with Sal. And Sal didn't know what the others would think, especially Joe if he found out Sal was falling for his friend. Chris couldn't believe what was happening. Everything happened so fast from the first moment they first met, but at the same time she was glad she didn't have to hide her feelings from him for long. The fact that he showed interest in her first was even better.

Chris was with the guys at the diner as they ordered breakfast before filming for the day. Sitting next to Sal, she felt his hand on her leg and she smiled to herself. It was getting harder by the moment hiding their relationship, but they both agreed it was the right thing to do until they felt they both knew what the relationship was heading.

"Stop," she whispered through her teeth. She could feel her face blushing.

Sal turned and winked at her as he finished his breakfast. Chris knew what this meant, he was going to leave before all of them so she could meet up with him before the began for the day. "Well, I'm done," he said putting his money on the table. "Guys, I'll see you over at the store."

Chris waited about ten minutes before she excused herself and met Sal outside waiting for. "You know, I think the others are picking up on something," she said.

"What makes you think that?"

"Because they just gave me such a look like they know something's up when I left. Not to mention every single morning we have breakfast together I always leave after you," Chris smirked.

"So, let them think something's up," Sal wrapped his arms around her. "If they ask, then we tell them. But until then, it's just us who knows what's going on." He gave her a gentle kiss on the lips. "Come, let's go for a walk before heading to the store."

"A walk in this weather? It's freezing," she shivered.

"Don't worry I'll keep you warm," he wrapped his arms around her as they walked.

"So, what was it that you wanted to talk about?" Chris asked when there was silence between them.

"Well, you know that today is Friday and we are off for the weekend. And the past few weekends I've missed seeing you because we do our separate things. But, if you're not doing anything this weekend..."

"Want me to come out to Staten Island?" She cut him off.

"I was thinking more along the lines with you staying with me this weekend," Sal said quietly. Chris stopped dead in her tracks and looked at him. "You want me to come and stay at your place?"

"If you don't mind. I mean, it would be nice for us to be alone with no one bothering us. And not worrying about anyone seeing us together. I mean, if you want to."

"No. It's not that. It's just...wow this is just a surprise," Chris said. She was shocked. They never discussed anything about where this was heading. Chris thought they were just two people attracted to each other and hung out whenever they could. But she never expected him to invite her to his place for the weekend.

"I know it may sound like I'm moving things too fast. But the truth is, I just can't stop thinking about you. And it's so hard for me to see you standing there while we're filming when all I want to do is go right up to you and do this." This time Sal pulled her into a deep and passionate kiss. He pulled away leaving them both breathless.

"Wow," Chris said trying to catch her breath.

"You could say that again," Sal smiled.

"Sal..." she closed her eyes. Why was she finding it hard to find an answer to what he asked about this weekend? "I'm not saying you're moving too fast with us. It's just that...I don't know exactly where we stand as well..you know us."

"That's why I think this would be a good idea. So we could discuss it."

Chris stood in her bedroom as she got ready for tonight. After her discussion with Sal, she decided she would indeed go to his place for the weekend. Packing her overnight bag, she double checked to make sure she had everything. "Well well well, where we going tonight?" Her best friend and roommate, Dani, walked into her bedroom.

"Nowhere," Chris said reaching to close her bag up but Dani got a hold of it first.

"Really, then why do you have this with packed away?" Dani pulled out a lacey lingerie set from the bag. "Who's going to be the lucky one to see you in it huh? And where did it even come from?"

"That is none of your business," Chris said grabbing it back and throwing it in the bag. Fact was, Chris picked it up on her way back home knowing she was going to be with Sal this weekend. She didn't know where this weekend was going to lead, but she wanted to be prepared for anything.

"Obviously you're going to be seeing some guy," Dani smiled. "OMG...is this the one. Have you found you're true love that you wanna be with for your first time?"

"Dani, just stop it," Chris sighed. Dani had been her best friend since middle school and the girls always confided in one another. But Dani had no idea about Chris and Sal.

"Come on, I'm your best friend. You can tell me," Dani begged.

Chris sighed, should she tell her what's been going on? "Alright, if I do. You have to promise not to tell anyone."

"Of course. Your secret is safe with me. Come on, tell me who's the mystery guy."

"Well, you know how I've been working for the Jokers?"

"OMG! Is it one of them?! I should've known. Wait...let me guess. Is it Murr? It's gotta be Murr!" Dani was excited.

"It's not Murr..."

"Q?"

"Dani, if you'd let me talk. It's Sal. But we want to keep it quiet until we figure out what exactly is going on between us. No one knows alright."

"Sal! OMG...I should've guessed that. You always seem to be glued to the television when he's on. Wait...so what does this have to do with your bag being packed..." Then it dawned on Dani. "Are you going away with him or something?"

"Not going away exactly. He asked me to spend the weekend with him as his place. I'm about to take the bus to Staten Island actually."

"Chris, do you think he's the one you're meant to be with? I mean...do you want him to be your first?"

She could feel the color rising to her cheeks. "I...I don't know. I mean, I don't even know if I made the right decision to spend the weekend at his place. Dani, I really do have feelings for him but...I don't know if it's enough to go on about what I want to have happen this weekend."

"Trust me, you'll know if it's the right thing when you're with him. And believe me...I think you and Sal are meant to be together."

*****

Chris felt a little better after her conversation with Dani about the situation with Sal. In the end, she decided that if Sal did indeed feel the same way about her, then this weekend would be the weekend for her and Sal. The bus stopped and she walked the few blocks to his home. "Here it goes," she said to herself. Slowly walking to the door, she rang the bell. She was ready for what this weekend had in store for her.
