Its been 5 years since Danielle and Jason broke up. They have been out of high school for three years now. Danielle has found someone new, Eli, they have been dating for 3 years and Danielle is so happy and in love. She knows that Eli would never hurt her like Jason did. Jason on the other hand has not dated anyone since him and Danielle broke up. He feels so guilty that he can't think about anyone else. Its still all he thinks about till this day. If he could go back and changes what happened he would in a heartbeat, he regrets every second of it. One day Danielle and Eli were out and about celebrating their 3rd year anniversary and Eli was going to propose to Danielle later that night at dinner. As they were walking around the city Danielle sees a person she thought she would never see again, someone who broke her heart 5 years ago, she saw Jason. Jason saw her as well. Jason approaches Danielle and Eli.
"Danielle? Is it really you?" Jason asks with confusion.
"Yes, it is me Jason." Danielle says, thinking about how she had hoped she would never have to say that name again,or see that face again.
"Who is this?" Jason asks pointing at Eli.
"This is Eli, my boyfriend. Eli this is Jason my ex boyfriend, we used to date in highschool." Danielle says and notices Jason's face fall as she says that.
"Well hello Jason it's nice it meet you." Eli says and puts his hand out to shake hands with Jason.
"Hi." Jason shakes hands with Eli.
"So Danielle I was hoping we could meet up and catch up seeing its been a while since you've talked to me?" Jason asks. Danielle is shocked, she doesn't know if she should or not, it wouldn't hurt anybody right?
"Sure, I'm free for drinks tomorrow."
"Yeah sure I'll pick you up at 7. Just text me your address."
"OK see you then, bye Jason." Danielle says as her and Eli walk away.
"You never told me about Jason." Eli tells Danielle.
"He is not worth talking about right now can we please continue our 3rd year anniversary with out bringing him up please?" Danielle said and Eli knew there was something that bothered her about him and he wanted to know. Eli brushed it off knowing they would talk about it at home. They continued walking when Danielle saw a store she had to go in. After they were done in the store they went home to take a break and get ready for dinner later that evening. Once they were finally home Eli thought it was the right time to ask about Jason.
