Jungkook can't walk properly after Taehyung's heat is finally over, but other than that, he's back on his feet and ready to go back to training right after his usual weekly transfusion.

"I've given you slightly more plasma to make up for the liquid you've lost," the medical staff explains, holding a bag filled with clear liquid and hooking it up to the osmosis patches plastered all over Jungkook's arms. "Don't worry too much if you get dizzy, that's just your body reacting to the transfusion, you know the drill."

Taehyung takes longer to bounce back, burnt out from his heat, but in about a week he's his usual chipper self again, bouncing around and annoying Jungkook in the Quiet Zone after training.

In the following month, tapestries of the Felidae emblem pop up all around the hallways, in the training rooms, and from the ceiling of the Food hall, intricate embroideries of green and gold. The atmosphere in the Felidae compound changes to one of excited buzzing resounding everywhere.

"Two weeks," Taehyung announces gleefully, mouth full of stew. Pieces of carrot and chicken spray onto the table, and Jungkook makes a disgusted face at Taehyung. "The Domus Games are in two weeks!"

Jungkook's not particularly excited, but he understands why everybody else is. The Domus Games, held a month before gradings, are the only other time in the year where all of the different Hybrida have a chance to meet face-to-face, battling each other competitively. It's not such a big deal to the lower years, but to final years, the Domus Games is the last chance have to gain merits and push their rankings between Classes—from Tertius to Secundus, from Secundus to Primus. Only the best three in the grade for each Class make selections, and the Domus scoring the most wins overall is awarded with new amenities in the Active Zone.

The Felidae representatives had been chosen long ago through preliminary selections held earlier in the year, and Jungkook's outstanding abilities naturally secured him a spot in the competitor lineups.

"Are you trying to put pressure on me here?" Jungkook mutters, rolling his eyes. Although Taehyung's never participated as a competitor in the Games, whenever this time of year rolls around, he's always the most enthusiastic cheerleader.

"But it'll be fun!" Taehyung beams at Jungkook. "You'll get to battle the Class Primus from the other Domus. Aren't you excited? And hey," Taehyung adds, dropping his voice, "we might be able to see Jimin again."

"I can't believe you're still going on about him," Jungkook says with a sigh. "We haven't seen him for well over a month, he's probably forgotten about us." Taehyung nods, then shrugs guiltily, and Jungkook's eyes narrow. "Wait."

"I haven't been caught!" Taehyung protests before Jungkook can chew him out, hands held out in front of him defensively. "I've only been going during night! I've been careful!"

"I told you—" Jungkook hisses out, before realizing he's involuntarily stood up and the Felidae around him are staring. He sits back down, smoothing his ears, wiping his face with his hands, and tries again. "I told you not to do anything dumb. You know our supervisor's already suspicious of you, right? Kim Seokjin? He's more observant than he looks. Be careful."

"Yeah, yeah," Taehyung mumbles, sticking his fork in his bread roll. "Anyway, Jimin said he was competing this year, in the strength and speed events. I said we'd watch his games."

"I should strap you to your bed so you can't get up to more trouble," Jungkook says with a sigh, and swats at Taehyung's face when Taehyung smiles lecherously. "Not like that, you pervert."

"Anyway," Taehyung says, reaching over and squishing Jungkook's cheeks between two hands, "good luck with your training, I'll be cheering in the audience."
