Do you really want to contribute to the SAC? If so, try being an admin on the leadership staff!
As an admin you will:
-Be an active member who participates in conversations to keep them going
-Help judge contests/events to pick the winner
-Accept new, regular (non-admin) members
-Assist in creating/writing new books for the club
You need to be responsible and active! Bad admins will be notified as they're taken out of the committee.
