Hii!! I'm so so super duper extremely sorry for not updating since like, OCTOBER, but ima get back to this story. Thank you to all my continuing readers! Love, Stari. <3

For the rest of the night, I barely said a word. I said hi and acknowledged a few people here and there, but I kept anxiously glancing at the large clock for when it would be over.

"Avery?" I jumped.

"Y-yes?" I stare up at Brett.

"Would you care to dance?" He holds out his hand for me. "It's what all princesses do. I think you might enjoy it."

"Fine." I mutter and take his gloved hand into my sweaty shaking ones.

He leads me to the dance floor and he leads the waltz. I stare down at my feet, trying not to step on his. But unfortunately, that plan fails.

"Stop being nervous. You're doing fine." He whispers. I look up just slightly and nod.

I count the measures in my head. 1, 2, 3... 1,2,3... 1,2,3- until the song ends. "Now I must hand you over to the next prince in line." He takes my hand and twirls me around and let's me go.

Someone takes my hand. "Well hello there, my little princess." Chris says as we begin to dance to the new song. Out of the corner of my vision, I see a white suit sneaking up.

Jacob booty-bumps Chris out of the way and takes my hands. He winks at me.

"There's a lonely prince waiting for his princess on the sidelines. My heart would just explode with love if the princess and the prince would dance together." He tilts his head over to Blake, who does sit along the side of the dance floor. "He feels really bad about the secret. You should go and clear the air." Jacob whispers.

He attempts to twirl me over like Brett did, but fails miserably and ends up twirling himself over to Blake and leaving me to stand by myself.

I laugh and walk over there.

Jacob stands up from his awkward spinning session and bows away.

"Hi." I say.

"Hi." Blake rubs the back of his neck. "Would you care to dan-"

"Yes." I practically scream. "I mean, yes." I say, much calmer this time. He takes my hand and glides me back out to the dance floor.

A turn and a beautiful twirl later, the large clock strikes midnight. Blake pulls me close to him as people weave away from the floor.

"I guess if I'm Cinderella, I should be running away now. Right?" I say.

"Right." He chuckles.

Just then, and idea popped into my head.

"Tag! You're it!" I slap him across the chest and start running away.

"Hey! No fair! Wait!" He calls after me.

I laugh and turn my head back around as I slam into the chest of a man.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, sir..." I back away and freeze as I see the familiar face.

"Hello Avery. Nice to see you again." The corners of his mouth turn up to reveal his ugly yellow teeth.

"Avery, you okay?" Blake stops as well and goes white as paper. "Dad..."

Done with a new chapter! Sorry, not very funny, not much action, but it was fun to write! (And hopefully read) Again, so so super duper sorry for not updating since OCTOBER.

Please like if you enjoyed it, and comment to tell me what you thought or what I can do to improve.

See ya through the screen,
- Stari
