Nothing seems to make a sound out here. But where is my wife as I was promised? He wonders. The camera whispers to him, she's here. And not. It tells him to take a photo. The old man obeys and snaps one, right in front of an old oak that's fractured and bent. He lowers the camera from his eye, revealing his long gone wife. "Gloria, my love" he stammers. His wife stands before him, not moving an inch away from the tree. She smiled sweetly. "Darling, I'm here. Come closer. Let me feel your warmth" she coos. Without hesitation, he obeys her command, putting the camera down. The camera laughs, for it is almost free of its glass prison. The old man reaches out to the woman, and tries to take her by the hand. She disappears. He retracts his hand and whirls around looking for a sign of her. His eyesight falls on the camera. "Where is she?" He bellows angrily. The camera says nothing. Instead it disappears. The old man backs up towards the tree. He doesn't realize it until his back touches the tree bark. He jumps and cries out, "Gloria!! Where have you gone? Gloria!" No one answers his call. And then he remembers, he does not know his way home. The camera is hiding. Hiding someplace that only it can get to. But, it needs a new victim to be a part of it. And this old man was gullible enough to trick. It laughed, bolts and film creaking throughout it. The old man looked around him, hoping to find the camera to help him. He trusted the camera. Even if it did betray him in a way. Something rustled in the branches above him. "Chanlier!! Chanlier!! Please!! Help me!!" He called out, the camera laughed louder and more menacing. Then all was silent. And the old man disappeared along with all of the noise in the dark woods.
