I'd never felt more alone

I'm not going to say that things have been easy for these past last weeks because they've been the exact opposite. When I was being held against my will by my father and another stranger I'd never felt more alone. I'm a changed man everything that has happened in the past years has changed me. I'm not as happy as I once was, I'm not always as positive as I once was. I can't help but think maybe I never should've survived if I hadn't maybe everything would be different. But I'm glad I did survive because every morning I get to see the most beautiful woman on the planet. Along with my two adorable daughters who look more and more like Spencer everyday. We've been going and going on search parties trying and trying to find Hanna but we're not having any luck. And we haven't been able to find my father it doesn't help either that I never saw the other man's face. I turn around inside my bedroom to see Spencer now awake lying on the bed. "Hey" She whispers mustering up a small smile "Hey baby" I lean down kissing her cheek "How'd you sleep?" I ask her frowning as she shakes her head obviously didn't sleep well at all. "Luke's got some new places we are going to go and search for Hanna okay? So I've really gotta go" I lean down as she wraps her arms around me still laying in bed. "Bring my best friend home" She whispers I kiss her temple "I'll try baby girl"

"I thought you said you had new information about places you wanted to check" I say to Luke as I sit in the chair across from him in his office. Luke sighs running a hand through his hair looking at me "Look Toby no one knows where Hanna is and you don't seem to know who the other man was that was with you're dad. We can't find him either and he most likely leads to wherever Hanna is" I lean forward staring at him curiously "What are you trying to tell me?" I hiss at him growing impatience "I'm trying to tell you that they want to close the case" My eyes widen at his words "I'm your boss and I have a boss as well who I take my orders from. I've pleaded and pleaded to keep the case open but they think we should close it. Wait until some new evidence or something turns up" Luke sighs staring at me waiting for me to speak "Spencer's best friends with Hanna she won't let this go god if you think my reaction is bad wait until she finds out" I scoff already imagining that dreadful scene. "It's out of my hands Toby like I said I've got a boss too and I take orders from him. I'm truly sorry but there's nothing more I can do" I grip his shoulder nodding "I know, Thank you for everything you've done for me and my family"

Spencer walks back into the room with a frown "I told Caleb there closing the case he's pissed off I can see why we all are. He's catching a flight down Tonight he'll be here first thing tomorrow morning" I nod wrapping my arm around her waist kissing her temple "I love you baby" She smiles Softly "I love you more" As we change into more comfortable clothing and get into bed I pull Spencer closer. Her head resting on my chest while our legs are tangled together my hands rested firmly on her back. "Something will come up Spencer some new evidence or witness comes up I'm telling you" She nods kissing my cheek "I love you" I kiss her forehead slowly closing my eyes "I love you more"

"Hanna!" I scream as I run into the room where I see her body laying on the ground blood surrounding her from her stomach. "Oh my god Hanna!" I shout putting pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding "Hanna stay with me babe" I plead my eye's watery as tears fall down my cheeks "This is you're fault Spencer" She chocked tears sliding down her cheeks "I saved Toby for you, You we're supposed to come and find me" She sobs while her head falls to the side "This is you're fault" And that's when her heart stops "No! Hanna please come back to me!" I cry taking her body into my lap as I shake her "No I'm sorry come back to me let me make it right" I cry into her shoulder holding her.

"Spencer!" I hear Toby's voice my eyes open as I see Toby holding me protectively in his lap "Baby it was only a dream, Hanna's still alive" He coo's pushing my head into the crook of his neck his hands firmly planted on my back. "It felt so real she did it was my fault because she saved you and I was supposed to save her" He sighs running his hands down my back trying to soothe my pain "It wasn't you're fault baby it wasn't" Just as he says that his phone starts ringing loudly he reaches over answering the call "Hello?" His eyes widen as he listen's I pull away holding his hand before he ends the call looking at me. "They've found my dad..." He whispers softly "He's dead...Which means Hanna's still missing" Tears slide down my cheeks "Dad was murdered Spencer"
