His calloused, yet somehow soft, hand went under my chin to lift my head up. He stared directly into my eyes making my heart ache for his touch. I was frozen. That stupid smirk that he always has finds its way onto his face as he leans over pressing his lips against mine.

CRACK

I jumped into his arms. Literally. He held me bridal style as rain started pouring down. I clung to his jacket, stupid fear of lightning and thunder. "You're okay. I have you. Your safe with me," he nuzzled his face into my neck to try and calm me down, knowing that I'm terrified. I felt the slow up and down of him walking to under the bridge. He set me down on the soft piece of grass as he sat next to me. I looked up to find his arms open, "C'mere baby." I slowly crawled into his arms. I curled up with my head on his chest and his arms around me.
