A young man walks underneath the streetlights, it's getting close to dinner time and he is aware that if he's late, there won't be any food left for him after his 5 older look- alike brothers are done. He shivers from the cold, his breath fogs up the air before him. Snow gradually falls from the sky, hitting the ground and melting almost instantly. He smiles and strolls along, humming under his breath in the snow. Before he knows it his in front of his house. The house he grew up in, the house he lives in with his 5 useless older brothers and his parents. As he reaches for the doorknob, ready to be greeted by his energetic brothers, he notices something. A small note hanging from a thin red thread, swaying lazily in the breeze. He raises an eyebrow and rips the note off the door, walking inside and putting it in his pocket.
"I'm home!" He yells and he takes off his shoes and coat. His face is engulfed with the warm air from the heater. He walks to his shared room and opens the door, walking and and taking a seat on the couch, next to his brother in green, who is engulfed in a book.
"Hey, Totty." Choromatsu greets, not bothering to look up from his book.
"Totty's home! Totty's home!" Chants the yellow blur running around the room. The second eldest leans against the wall, in his blue hood and jeans, but still with his painful shades. He points at his shades frames and grins
"Welcome home, buzzurah." He say smugly, all his brothers ignore him except for one, the one in purple, who has huddled himself in the corner of the room with a grey tabby on his lap. He clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes,
"Shut up, Shittymatsu." He grumbles, as he continues to pet the purring kitten. Todomatsu smiles warmly, they may all be stupid, but he loves all his brothers dearly, he'd be lost without themthough, he'd never admit it. After the thought he realizes somethings missing, or rather, someone.
"Oi, where's Osomatsu-Niisan?" He turns to the most responsible brother, Choromatsu.
"Eh?" The man in green manages to tear his gaze from his book. He looks over to Todomatsu, then around the room, and finally to the window. "Last I hear, he went to the horse tracks."
"It wasn't this cold when he left." Ichimatsu adds to the conversation stirring up.
"Ai, he was wearing his damned hood when he left, that things not warm at all." Choro mumbles.
"I'm sure that our dearest brother will return to the arms of his family soon." Karamatsu hums.
"Ai! Ai! Niisan should be home soon! Hustle, hustle! Muscle, muscle!" Jyushi chants his catchphrase and bounces up and down. Todomatsu smiles, satisfied with Jyushi's answer, he pulls out his phone and scrolls through his social media before remembering the note that he found tied to the door. He takes the note from his pocket and reads it, his smile falls and his brows furrow. Jyushimatsu observes his little brothers odd expression, his own faltering slightly. "Totty, what's that?" Todomatsu looks over to his brother in yellow
"I- I found it on the door, before I came it."
"Oh? Who's it from" Choromatsu attention strays from his book and back to the youngest.
"It doesn't have a name on it."
"What does it say?"
"It- it has a phone number written down, it say 'Do as your told if you want your brother to live'" Todomatsu shutters, staring at the note. The room goes deathly silent.
"They're talking about Osomatsu-Niisan!" Choro immediately starts to panic, "Call then, text them, do something!"
