Clint could feel his mate pull away from him as he called her his mate. She must not know? He thought as he stared into her eyes.
He knew something was wrong when he walked into the school 15 minutes ago. He could smell her, his mate, but he noticed that something was off.
He dropped his head down to her neck, placing a kiss there. Allie shuddered, almost distracted from her thoughts. "Clint, what does that mean?"
"What?" Allie pulled Clint head back slightly by his hair to look into his eyes. He smiled down at her. "What did you say?"
Allie's face was puckered in confusion. "What does that mean? The mate thing?"
He bit his lip and almost automatically her eyes were drawn to his lips. She watched as they moved but she couldn't hear a sound. Her heart fluttered as she watched him and he could hear the sound of her heartbeat change.
Clint moved so that his eyes where level with her's. Her brain became unfrazzled and she looked him in his eyes. "Did you hear me?" he asked her.
"No..." Allie admitted turning a shade of red. "Could you repeat that?"
He laughed at her words placing a kiss on her lips. "Have you ever heard of a mate?" Allie shook her head, confirming his suspicions.
He went to talk when he heard voices coming their way. The lights that were once off came on as the school started buzzing with life. It could wait, he thought as he started down at his mate.
"Come one," he said detangling himself from her but he grasped her hand in his before their skin stopped touching. "How about I really give you a tour before school starts?" He questions with a smile making her smile in return.
"Sure," Allie managed to get out as his smile made her thought become jumbled. "Where to?"
Clint laughed, "How about we just start with your classes."
**************************
"Okay next class we need to learn about how to determine the difference between a homogeneous mixture and a heterogeneous mixture," said the chemistry teacher whose name seemed to escape Allie. The only thing on her mind was the memory of Clint's lips on her's.
Allie had never kissed a boy let alone made out with. It seemed like this new place was completely taking her out of her comfort zone and she didn't know how to handle it properly.
She remembered the way her body melted into his, the way his hands molded onto her butt, and the warmth she felt as their kissing progressed. To some degree, she sort of felt a little skanky. She wasn't the type who jumped at the hot guy just because she knew she could. Thinking back on it, she felt completely stupid knowing he would think she was skanky too.
But what about the mate thing? her subconscious butted in, pulling her away from her negative thoughts. Yes, there was that. Allie wasn't really sure what he meant by that but the look that he gave her as he said that made her shiver.
There was also the fact that he had given her the tour of her classes like he promised, all the while with his hand placed firmly on the small of her back. After giving her a once over of the whole school, he walked her to her first hour when the warning bell sounded. He even came to her after class and walked her to her second hour. Then after her second hour had ended he took her to her third hour where she now sat, lost in the strange feelings that she received from him.
It didn't matter what her brain was telling her, she wanted some sort of relationship with his. The thought of cutting him off without really giving him a chance first made her stomach flip. She could admit to herself that she wasn't expecting to feel the way she felt about him. In the end she decided that she would worry about it later because all of her over thinking was causing her head to hurt.
