Picture of Penn to the right guys! ->>>
Enjoy :)
As I entered my bedroom, I was met by a familiar face, one that I could always rely on when things got tough.
“Nova, what are you doing in here?” I asked, with both shock and happiness.
Here I saw my best friend in the entire world, Nova Bowman. I saw her relaxed body sprawled out on my bed as she carelessly flipped through a magazine.
“Gheez, Alicia” she greeted me.
“I was seriously getting mega bored waiting for you. I thought that I was going to get busted by your parents, I climbed through your window like an hour ago.” She continued casually.
“What are you doing here? Do my parents know you’re in here?” I asked, whilst laughing slightly.
I loved this girl so much. Whenever I was having a shitty day, she would always be there for me, to make me laugh and smile. I don’t know what I would do without her.
“Oh, um… not exactly. I figured I’d just hang in here until you got home. What took you so long anyway?” She asked, with a suspicion tone in her voice.
“You’re so weird. You could have just used the front door, you know” I replied, attempting to change the subject of her questioning as to what took me so long to get home.
“Oh, I see what you’re trying to do! You’re totally trying to change the subject” She responded, with fake shock in her voice.
I shifted in my place, feeling uneasy under her Hazel gaze.
Her brown, wavy hair was hiding her face, only revealing 2 piercing eyes, looking right in my direction.
“um, I don’t know what you’re talking about” I said, with the most convincing voice that I could muster at that point.
“Liar” She taunted in a singing voice.
“Okay, so it’s no big deal, I just got held up by Rachel asking me to hang out tonight” I revealed.
Her right brow began to rise, giving her face a look that said “continue”
“I told her to come by at 6 today, so that she can get ready with me, here” My pitch seeming to lower with every word I spoke.
“Oh no!” she exclaimed.
“Oh no, no you didn’t. Please tell me that you’re just kidding, Alicia” She begged.
“Um, no. She started getting upset because I told her that your brother and Tom both have dates for the beach tonight, she got embarrassed and felt stupid so I invited her to come get ready with me so she didn’t feel as bad. I know, I know. I’m stupid. I wish I didn’t invite her, but I did. There isn’t anything that I can do about it now.” I told her.
My best friend gave me a ‘when will you ever learn’ look and sympathetically shook her head.
“I guess not. Next time she tried to engage in small talk with you, give her a knuckle sandwich” she proposed. All traces of sympathy for me had now vanished.
“I will not!” I replied with a stern voice.
“Anyway, she’ll be here in a while. Please tell you’re sticking around?” I questioned.
She looked as if she was deep in thought for a minute, before replying “I will, and I’ll come to the beach with you tonight”
“Oh good, I’m so glad tha” I said, before being interrupted.
