Earlier that day...
Casanova fought to stay awake in class. It was a loosing battle to say the least. Of all the subjects, math had to be his least favorite. Behind him, his childhood friend Ariana, kicked his seat to try to keep him from dosing off. But this too was proving to be a futile effort. He turned and looked out the window next to him as if trying to search for a reason to believe in humanity or at the very least the private education system. But all he saw were the depressing autumn leaves blow down an equally depressing suburban sidewalk. It made him want to fall asleep and never wake up. Finally, unable to fight the call of the Sandman, Casanova put his head down and began to doze off.
He was in a spacesuit flying through the stars and watching a nebula take shape. At last he was where he wanted to be the most: outer space. Being surrounded by nothingness was a dream that Casanova had longed for ever since he could walk. Anything to be far away from the same streets that took away his parents and now dragged his older brother to meet the same fate. It seemed that the cycle would never end until he gained more power. Now the stars felt closer than ever before. Personally, the farthest he'd flown to was the moon. But soon the whole universe will be his oyster. If only the gods could leave him alone....
He spotted a black hole eating a star and flew towards it to take a closer look. But as he neared the marvelous sight, he found himself unable to slow down and got sucked in by the gravitational pull of the void. Once on the other side of the vacuum, he found himself sitting on an all too familiar lazy boy gazing at an all too familiar distorted television screen. Currently on the infinite TV, Nick and Enrique were serving drugs to local collage kids looking for a good time.
What does this bitch want from me this time, thought Casanova.
"Aww don't be like that Nova," said Destiny sitting next to him.
"I told you not to call me that!" snapped Casanova.
"Yeah yeah I get it," said Destiny with a chuckle, "Only those who you've 'sworn to protect' can call you that. Geez you're such a shonen character it's not even funny. Rock Lee would be proud of you."
"What do you want?" asked Casanova annoyed.
"Ok you see those guys selling drugs on my awesome TV?" asked Destiny.
"You mean your lame TV," said Casanova.
"That's besides the point. Anyway I need you to look after those guys and train the 8 mile wanna be how to use his powers," said Destiny.
"Wait is that Nick? Why would you wanna try to make this lame ass pussy's wish come true?" asked Casanova.
"Because he has the potential of being a wanderer," said a smiling Destiny.
"Wow that is wild. But what do I get out of this?" asked Casanova.
"His friend is an alien so he probably has a spaceship," said Destiny.
Casanova's face lit up in an insane grin. Could this be the moment he's been waiting for all his life? He shook his head violently then looked deep into Destiny's mismatched eyes.
"What's the catch?" asked Casanova.
Destiny gave him an innocent look that might've passed off for cute if Casanova didn't know he was sitting next the living embodiment of destiny. But he knew better by now than to trust either of them. There was always a catch with every offer they made. That's how they have their fun.
"I don't know what you're talking about," said Destiny.
"Alright, don't tell me then. Just take me back to class 'cause I have a test tomorrow and I haven't paid attention in the slightest," said Casanova.
