As soon as the eyes appeared, they vanished. Mom and Simon came rushing into the room, "What's wrong?" She asked. "T-there was a set of r-red eyes staring at me, they saw me naked!" "Are you sure, honey? I mean, your bedroom is two story's up... It would be almost impossible for someone to get up here." I gave her a look, "Yes, I'm sure! They were right there," I said, pointing my finger towards the window. Then my eyes darkened, "I wouldn't lie to you."
Mom's eyes narrowed and she walked over to one of the boxes, pulling out a long, metal bat. My eyes widened slightly, "your going to go out there! What if it's still there?" She gave me a grin, "Then that's where the bat comes in handy." "Mm Okay, but be careful."
"Mom, give that here, there is no way I am letting you go out there alone," said Simon. He took the bat and rushed down the stairs. Me and mom followed soon after. We sat on the kitchen bench and waited... bang, I heard the front door slam shut and Simon walked in. "well all I found was a family of raccoons, Bell." I sighed and stood up, "I guess I overreacted just a little.." I slumped over and ran my fingers through my hair. "Well, it's been a long night, you kids should get some rest, we are going to meet with some new people tomorrow and I hear they have a girl around your age Bell."
I glanced up,"Awesome! Maybe I'll make a new friend." I felt my lips turn up into a grin. "Well, I'm beat, I'm gonna turn in for the night, good night mom" I said, walking up the stairs.
Once I was in my room, I quickly looked out all the windows, locking them and closing the blinds. Ugh I must be paranoid... I laid down in my bed and closed my eyes...
I awoke to a knocking on my bedroom door, I groaned and rolled over, covering my ears with my pillow. "BELL, GET UP! we are meeting with the Anderssons in 1 hour." Ah crap.. "OK, no need to yell," I said, rolling out of bed. Time to get some shit done.
