I just changed the name of this piece from Steampunk Tea Party to Wattpad Tea Party. You see, I'm finding that being part of this community is stimulating my creativity in crazy ways. I kind of want to branch out.
Since joining Wattpad I have decided that I really love the Fairytale community, and I definitely want to write some kind of twisted tale in that area.
And then last night, before bed, I had kind of a fun idea for a "bad boy" book. Even thought I write YA I have been basically avoiding the main page, because it doesn't seem to be my style. I'm not really into racy new adult that much - but for some reason last night I had a funny thought, one thing led to another, and......a new idea is born. A bad boy idea. I promise you, there will be abs on the cover, lol.
Also, I kind of want to write a Regency romance and a contemporary....I mean, I just want to write! One thing I really appreciate about Wattpad is that it certainly doesn't hem anyone in. I really feel like I can experiment here.
Last night I watched a very fun Wattpad Christmas Party on youtube, thank you ELatimer for letting me know about it via a notification. It was really interesting to hear about the different experiences the group had on Wattpad. And I was so impressed with what a supportive bunch of people-both on the video and commenting. I'm really grateful that I'm part of this community now! I'm so glad that I signed up.
How about everyone else? What are you grateful for, as 2016 draws to a close? What are your Wattpad goals? Does everyone have a bad boy book in them, somewhere?
Happy Holidays!
