1 A.M. - At the base
The phone rings and rings until eventually he answered.
"Hello?"
"Ezra, hey."
"Maggie? Hey, how have you been?"
"Good. Listen I need you to do me a favor, could you?"
"Sure. What is it?"
Maggie explained to him their situation. She told him of the incident in the woods, the hidden man, the rival gang's plans, and their mission to find out who the mysterious person was. Ezra agreed to help them out. He could provide them with efficient resources.
"Of course there is one problem. How are you going to get what you need?"
"Hmm. Is there some way to get to another dimension?"
"There is but it would require a lot of energy and kerpin. You have a V-35 right?"
"Yup. It kind of fueled out on our trip here. Probably 30% of our kerpin left."
"That wouldn't be enough. Let me see..."
In the background Maggie could hear shuffling as if Ezra was looking for something. He heard him call out for someone, soon a voice followed. The person sounded feminine and young. Perhaps Ezra's assistant. Soon enough he came back.
"Ok so with the amount you have now you would need about seventy more pivs of kerpin in order to be able to travel fast enough to jump into the illusan circle and head to the Vediexen dimension."
