I'm back... for now. I'm on winter break from college, stuck home with mono and got pulled back into the wattpad scene. So here's a chapter, over a year late. Better late than never? :)

Chapter Six

Don’t you know that I love you?

Don’t you know what I feel for you?

Don’t you know that I care for you

That I’m attracted to you

And heaven forbid

Am stuck with you?

Don’t you know that I’m here for you

That I’ll always be near for you

That I would shed blood and tears for you

If ever you were in fear?

And don’t you know that I have pined for you

And I would have died for you

Sacrificed my life for you

If ever others were unclear?

But you neglected me

And you rejected me

So I shall bid you adieu and be

On my way for between us

There lies no love or trust

And certainly no mate

To bait

Me to stay.

I awoke in the morning to only a slight ache in my side from Braiden's cheating the night before. I rolled over and glanced at my phone, surprised to find a text from Tristan, an old friend (if I could even call him that) who I had met at track meets my sophomore year of high school. We texted on occasion, never hung out outside of being at track meets. He had attended another high school in district, and he now was a freshman at a college who's name I couldn't currently recall.

Kasey! How're you doing?

Pretty well. What's up?

I'm back in town for the weekend. Want to meet up?

This was a perfect opportunity for me begin taking steps out on my own. For my wolf and myself to learn to heal and rid our selves of the demon that is Braiden. I could feel her churn at the thought, but this was something we both needed, I reasoned with myself.

Sure! I'm free--I hesitated and clicked the delete button. Maybe I should think this through some more. Maybe I shouldn't be so spontaneous with this. It wasn't like I really knew this kid. He was funny, but this had complete awkward situation potential.

Depends. What did you have in mind?

Wreaking havoc around Mayville, of course. I could pick you up this afternoon.

Let me check with my publicist :)  I smirked as I clicked the send button.

But I haven't seen you in foreverrr

Uh, I'm obviously like the president or a fancy prostitute. Gotta schedule in advance! :p

Haha. Girl, you don't even know.

...what's that supposed to imply? lol

I'm so busy!

Because you're a fancy prostitute.

Damn straight. Who wouldn't want to pay for this fine ass?

Hahaha. Touché.

So can I pick you up this afternoon? I won't terrorize you too much, I promise.

Fineeeee

I texted him directions to my house and glanced at the time on my phone--it was nearly 10 o'clock. I had at least two hours to eat a big brunch type meal, shower, and be ready for Tristan to show up. This afternoon would be step one towards my rebellion of sorts against Braiden and the Hell he puts me through.
