The sun rose like it did every morning in sunny LA. Awsten tossed and turned in bed, not believing that he was up this early. He mumbled to himself while running his hands through his messy hair, "I guess I should get up." He slowly rolled out of bed and made his way to the kitchen. His apartment was empty, to say the least. Boxes stacked in corners and furniture sprawled about, not quite in its correct places. "I should probably make that trip to Ikea today." He thought to himself.
Hours ticked by as Awsten sat on his bed scrolling through Twitter. By 1:00 o'clock he decided he should go and actually get things done. He got in his car and started for his destination. "Nothing crazy," he said to himself, "Just a few things."                  Lucky People by gods favorite boyband waterparks played on Awstens radio as he drove down the busy LA streets. He knew all the words, considering, he wrote the song. He pulled into the Ikea parking lot, going over the list in his head. "Side table, lamp, new curtains, more lamps because I like lights." He hopped out of his car and from there made his way into the giant store.
Some time passed, Awsten being indecisive on which color curtains he should get began to take a lot of time. "I should just come back to these." He said to himself, turning his cart around and making his way through the maze of a place. He turned the corner, lighting, and at the end of the hall there she was. Awsten stopped dead in his tracks, he could not believe his eyes. Awsten inched closer, giving himself a pep talk as he got closer to the mysterious girl. "Okay you got this, you're Awsten fucking Knight, shoot your shot don't be a bitch!" ran through his mind as he approached the girl. Her skin was pale, almost white, freckles lining ever inch of her body. Her hair, long, platinum blonde, laid carefully at her sides. Her eyes were beautiful and almost seemed as if they were glowing. Awsten began to feel nervous, as he has never seen anyone as beautiful as her before. "Hi," he cleared his throat, Hey, My names Awsten, and I really don't ever do this ever, but you remind me of someone." The girl looked at him, confused. "I- I was going to use a corny pick up line but i can't find the right words, but would you like to, get a drink sometime." He gripped his cart, embarrassed. The girl smiled and nodded, "today." She whispered.
They both made their way to checkout so they could pay for their items. As they walked outside Awsten  noticed how much more beautiful she was in the natural sunlight, the butterflies in his stomach began to intensify. "I-i can drive you home if you'd like." Awsten said as she began to walk away, she had told him she took an Uber earlier and Awsten wanted to get to know her more. She smiled and agreed.
They both got in the car, Awstens heart was beating fast. "So, we could go get that drink now, is Starbucks okay, I'm not really a big drinker" she nodded. They drove to Starbucks together, the radio silent. Awsten ordered his favorite drink and she ordered the same. "Why don't we go back to your place, looks like you need some help." She said. Awsten gulped, almost choking on his drink. "Okay." He said sheepishly. They went back to his place and started to set it up. Time went by and it was now 11:00 o'clock. Awsten asked if she wanted to go home, which she said no to, she wanted to help set his lights up before she left. The last place that needed lights was his bedroom. Both awkwardly smiled and walked into his room. As they finished setting up, Awsten turned to her and she lit up. He looked her in the eyes, "I've never met a single person that can light up the room the way you do." He looked at her, longingly, embracing her arm. A sigh escaped his lips as he looked to the floor, his cheeks getting red. "You can't put a price on that." He chuckled. He glanced into her eyes once again, a smile forming on his face. "I'm scared, you're scared but, this is new for both of us," he gripped her side, embracing her curve. "Like, I've never fucked a lamp before."
