Every day,
Week in, week out
He heard you shouting to your mates.
You laughed with them,
Cried with them,
You even had fights with them.
But out of the corner of your eye,
You saw this shy little guy.He was the one who aspired to be you,
To be near you.
To laugh with you,
To cry with you,
And maybe even fight with you.
However you would only see him,
From the corner of your eye.Now one day he came to speak with you,
But your friends just laughed and laughed.
You felt sorry for him,
But you laughed too.
Just so you wouldn't be pushed off of your high pedestal. He tried so many times to talk,
But every time was the same,
There was too much laugh and no talk.
He wanted to be more than a laughing stock. So he listened to your thoughts in class,
He changed the way he dressed,
He changed his attitude and the way he spoke,
He changed the way he looked and thought,
Just so he could be your mate.Still no matter how he tried,
Your friends just laughed and cried.
They laughed at him and thought,
"Oh what a mess."
You just agreed and smiled,
Even when he died inside. One day,
Some rumours spread.
That that the boy in the corner of your eye was dead.
You wanted to find out the truth,
So you went around and asked.
All that people said was,
"All I heard was that he's dead."You asked his mum,
And his dad.
They confirmed what the rumours spread. There were no more laughs,
And no more cries.
There weren't even any more fights.
There wasn't a boy whom you admired,
In the corner of your eye.
