I'll Stay By Your Side (A Setolox Fanfic)

Ty's POV

I woke up in a hospital bed with my head thumping, I didn't recall what happened but my head hurt really bad...

"Oh good! Your awake!" Said a nurse from across the room.

"Uh... Yeah... Um what happened to me..?" I replied.

"Oh you don't remember? Must be shock... But you were in a car crash, you weren't actually hurt to bad, just some minor head and arm injuries, your very lucky though... Some people don't get through that easily..." What she said surprised me and frightened me...

"Oh..." Was all I could reply, "Hey could you get me something to eat..? I'm kind of hungry..."

"Sure!" She replied happily, she was very perky despite her job.

I just sat there and waited for the nurse to come back with food for me, when I noticed I was the only patient in the room. "Odd." I thought.

"Here you go sweetheart," the nurse walked in with a tray with toast and an apple on it.

"Thanks," I replied while starting to bite into the toast, "Um if you don't mind me asking... Why isn't there anyone else in this room?"

She turned to me and said "Well..."

"Well what?" I needed to know now. It had to be something big if she wouldn't tell me, but what would be so big about a hospital?

"Some people say that this room is haunted by a young boy, probably not far off your age, that died here two years ago due to a coma... He was so full of energy, it was so heart-breaking to see him go... But life is life, and it ends with death. There wasn't anything we could do."

"H-haunted? But ghosts aren't real, right?" I was shaken by her answer... Ghosts weren't real... They couldn't be. They just couldn't. When you die you just... Go don't you? Maybe this young boy had "unfinished business" or something like that...

"Well I don't really think so, but I do sometimes get chills when I'm in this room, it's quite odd... It's probably just the wind though so don't get freaked out if the air brushes you haha!" She was still so happy... It was strange but quite nice in a sense, she'd probably be the woman to be in the middle of an apocalypse and dancing around.

"I have to go attend to other patients hun."

"Please wait!" I almost yelled. "What was the boy's name?"

"Seto I believe... Quite a strange name isn't it?" She then left the room as if the whole conversation didn't happen.

I figured I may as well try to get some sleep, I closed my eyes and drifted off into my own little dreamscape, my own little safe-haven.

Seto's POV

"Hello..?" I whispered just loud enough to try and wake the boy that slept were I was condemned to die, he was so peaceful while he slept... Almost cute... Wait what?

"Um... Hello?" I talked louder this time to see if he could even hear me... Some were allowed to hear me, others cannot... That's why I was so determined to talk to the young boy, it gets lonely here... Because considering the fact that I'm a ghost, no one can see me, they might be able to feel my presence but they just brush it off and think it's the wind...

"Can you hear me?" I spoke in my normal speaking tone and I saw him jerk up at the sound, could he hear me? Could he see me? His eyes fluttered open, they bright ruby colour, his eyes were beautiful... What's happening to me? Why am I being so... Weird around this guy? I didn't love him, I didn't even know his name!

"Er... Hi!" I replied nervously but happily, he jumped a bit in his seat when he heard me.

"Who... Who are you? And why are you... Foggy?" He was shaking, startled and surprised... But he could see me!

"I'm Seto," I replied calmly, hoping he wouldn't get scared by me... That was the last thing I wanted... I really just wanted a friend for the first time in two years...

"Are you a g-ghost..? Are you going to kill me..?" The boy's reply scared me... Is this everyone's first impression of me? That I was going to kill them?

"No! Nononono! I wouldn't kill anyone! Especially the first person I've seen in this room for two years... I... I just wanted to talk to you..." My reply was rushed because I didn't want him to think anything wrong of me.

"Oh... Well, I'm Ty," he had a nice name... Ty, the name sang in my head like a choir. I'm falling in love with a boy I just met...

A boy that I just met.
