Getting Out

Seto's POV

As soon as I heard a knock on the door I ducked under the other bed in the room, considering if I had hid under Ty's I would've been found out.

"Hello Ty! I hope you're doing well," said the nurse, the same nurse that had watched me die, I got shivers down my spine at the thought, this woman who I barely knew had watched me die. The nurse had been lying to Ty, saying he was going to be fine and quite frankly it was pissing me off. Ty wasn't going to be fine unless I did something, she couldn't help him in the slightest, she had lied to him about one of his heart strings breaking and that he would most likely... Die. It hurt to think about it, it hurt a hell of a lot, but I wouldn't stop until he was healthy again.

"Yeah I'm good," I heard Ty say to the nurse from my "hide out".

"So you have a checkup today, I hope it goes well," she said as she wheeled him out of the room on the bed that we had shared. That was the best sleep I had gotten that night... Ty's arm was wrapped around me and I felt loved for the first time in years. I wish I could've waved to Ty on the way out but his back was facing me. I heard the door shut and I knew it was time. Time to fix him.

I walked out of the room's door about five minutes after they left just to make sure the nurse didn't see me. For precautions I put my hood up and hid my amulet in my shirt. I walked slumped down the hall, hiding my face more until I got to the elevator. I pressed the down button and waited for the elevator to come up to the floor I was on. Once the elevator arrived I promptly got into it, there was patient in the elevator with me with her arm a sling, obviously from a break.

"Hi," she said to me. I didn't know how to reply, but she was young and wouldn't have the slightest clue that I had recently been brought back to life after being dead for years.

"Um, hello," I replied in a awkward, friendly tone.

"What's your name?" She said in a cheery way, her smile shining almost as bright as her blonde pigtails that almost had a misty look to them.

"Seto," I said with a small smile.

"That's a weird name haha! I'm Ruby!" She was nice kid, but I still was anxious around people. The floor I was going to, and I guessed the young girl was as well, was pretty low, considering it was the ground level we had enough time for a small conversation. "You can really see me!"

I froze.

This little girl was a ghost.

She was dead.
