I have noticed something about her house.

No, it's not the red velvet walls.

Or the family pictures on the wall.

It's a strong feeling.

A strong emotion.

Her home is full of love.

It's safe.

Safe.

She lives with her mother, Mel.

Her father, Leo, on the other hand, is 5% cop and 95% a--hole.

He didn't have time for them.

He said that Makayla should have stayed with him. That he knew what had he was doing.
That Mel wasn't a good mother.

But, she was.

He was just too busy cheating on her with younger woman to notice.

It all started at work.
He was one of the best cops of his district and he never felt bad saying that. He let nothing get to him.

Then she came.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"Officer Williams, we have a new recruit.", his chief said.

And there she was.

"A beautiful young girl. Only 24 she was."

"I'm Sarah Davis. Well-um-now Officer Davis.", she chuckled.

"Williams I am assigning you to guide Davis."

Boom. There it was.

From what he said, ever since that moment, he felt something between them.

They just connected.

Sometimes after work, he would invite her for coffee or something like that. Then they decided to actually hang out.

They went to the movies.

Went to fairs.

Went bowling.

The meetings started because he wanted to show her around town since she recently moved there.

There was something about her.

Leo felt he could tell her anything.

He didn't feel this way with Mel.

So these meetings became a little more personal.

They started to go to each other houses and sleep in.

Sarah had doubt in their relationship.
She knew he was a married man with a child and felt bad about the affair.
But being with Leo made her feel happy, feel
loved.
