Blake woke up to Callie's soft breathing. They were still wearing their clothes from the previous day. Callie had gotten so stressed that she wouldn't sleep, nor let him sleep. He ended up holding her until she fell asleep, then falling into it himself. He moved just a little, and woke Callie up. She rolled over and landed face first into a pillow. "I swear if you did anything I'll beat you up. What time is it anyway?" Blake looked at the digital clock on the desk. "5:46 am."

"ARG I'm LATE!" She quickly got up and ran into the bathroom. "Woman! It's early! Calm yourself!" Blake heard a "No!" Before he heard water running. "Hey Blake?" Callie yelled from in the washroom. "What?" He peeped in. "Can you get my shampoo?" Blake went and rummaged through her belongings, blindly moving his hands until he found it. "No, thats a hair brush. No not that either, No thats a...... NOPE. Okay there we go!" He had found her head and shoulders shampoo.

"Here you go." He tossed it in the general direction of the shower and Callie caught it anyway. "You probably found something weird, didn't you? I could hear you." Blake laughed and shrugged it off. "Now LEAVE I'm taking a shower!" Callie yelled before scaring Blake into closing the door.

It was a while before they got ready. Their blue and white uniform spiffy and clean. As they exited the dorm building, they realized that they had no idea what classes they had. "Where do we go?" Blake wandered aimlessly, while Callie took out her phone and found their schedule. "Huh, it looks like we've got pre- calculus first." Blake groaned in agony. Callie chuckled, "Please, Blake, I know you suck at it, but I can still help you!" Blake had a dissatisfied look, but smiled at the appreciation from Callie.
"Let's just go."

They hitched a ride on a campus vehicle, and ran into class JUST before the bell rang. "Ah, crap. We share a class with little miss president." Callie scowled in her direction. Blake sheepishly looked away. "I still don't think we can do anything..." Callie smiled. "Oho, think again." They all took their seats and the class started. A well dressed man in his late twenties stepped into the class.

"Hey," Callie started in a hush whisper, "isn't that the world class, calculus mathematician? Mr-" He cleared his throat and glaced a grin at Callie. Blake rolled his eyes at his action. "I am Matthew Boyle, your new pre- calculus teacher." Hushed voices were rampant through the rather large classroom. Why is he here? Didn't he win a nobel prize? He's kinda hot. I thought he was overseas!

Boyle wasted no time. His comanding voice quieted the students, and they all did as he said. "I'm assuming everyone has their textbooks." He eyed Blake and Callie. They didn't. "Uh, sir, I- We don't have the textbook." Blake spoke, and Boyle sighed. "For being irresponsible and ALMOST late, you will stay after class. Both of you." He causally threw two textbooks at Callie and Blake, who were only one desk apart. Giggles came from all around them, and Callie blushed with embarrassment.

When Boyle was busy, Natsumi took the opportunity to bother the pair. "Hey Blake, Its quite pathetic that you aren't prepared at all, it's very unattractive." Blake gritted his teeth, he hated when people talked about his attractiveness. "Hey, Callie, I bet you're dumber than monkey over here." Callie really didn't like when people called her dumb, but she noticed Blake, whose slight annoyed appearance meant trouble.

If he ever got mad, he'd lose all common sense and go berserk. How did she know our weak spots? Callie managed out a laugh. "A Monkey, Blake? That what does that make you? A slug?" Natsumi's eyes of surprise meant she didnt expect to be talked back to. Blake continued. "And if Callie's dumb, then you must be a complete IDIOT." She growled another insult before being interrupted by Boyle. "Be QUIET, Miss Kameyama , unless you want to stay after class as well." She looked annoyed but stayed quiet for the rest of class.

A while later, the bell rang, marking the end of the class. The students left the room without a second thought. Blake stayed sitting, fearing he might get into more trouble. Callie sat on her desk, facing him. "You know why I'm not worried?" "Why?" Blake asked. "Convincing Boyle to be on our side will be a huge benefit. Now a few things will happen, and you have to promise to trust me." Blake knew this was risky, but knew better than to disagree. "Fine, but if you get hurt, it's not my fault. Callie smiled.

Boyle came towards them. "Callie and Blake. Look at your books." They opened to the front page. It had their names inside it. "I found them, they were either trying to hide or discard them." Callie glowed. "Thanks, Mr. Boyle." He bit his lip. "Call me Matt." Callie looked over at Blake and winked. 'Trust me" she mouthed. Boyle sighed, unaware of their seperate conversation. "Both of you are excused." Callie walked quickly ahead into the hallway, keeping Blake behind her. Boyle leaned out to get one last look at Callie. He mumbled something under his breath.

As soon as they were out of Boyle's earshot, Callie threw Blake aside. "Blake, don't follow me, TRUST ME. I'm going back in there and let things happen. Please, this is going to help us WIN." Callie tried to leave, but Blake held on her hand. "Be careful, Cal." She smiled, and went on her tip toes to hug him. She ran off, and, againts Callies wishes, he slowly followed her.
He saw her close the door to Boyles room, followed by a loud click. He quietly walked up and pressed his ear to the door. He heard talking and small laughter. A few footsteps and more talking. Then suddenly it all stopped, and Blake got suspicious. All possible scenarios played in his mind. No, you have to trust her. Suddenly, a loud bang coming from the room startled him. He looked around to see if anyone else heard. What the hell was that? I-I'll just wait until she comes out.

A good minute passed when he finally heard the click of an unlocked door. Callie came out fine, but Boyle was clearly in some other state of mind. Just as she turned around the corner, she bumped into him. "What HAPPENED in there?" Callie looked proud. "Well, let's just say we're gonna have the highest grades in that class from now on." Blake lightly slapped her. "okay okay geez, we just had a light makeout sech." "Then what was that loud bang?" Callie chuckled. "I'll tell you tonight." Blake threw his head back in frustration, but gave up. "You're such a tease."

They continued onto their classes. Neither of them saw Natsumi for the rest of that day. In every class, a new teacher was introduced. Callie managed to find their sweet spots and exploited them all to their advantage. "Isn't this technically cheating?" Blake was worried and felt guilty. Callie thought about it for a while. "Except for Boyle, everything is perfectly fine and legal." He still looked uncertain. "What if Natsumi has knowledge of what we're doing?" She shook her head with a slight grin of disbelief. "You think SHE doesn't play dirty? Come on, she's got the money to bribe and the power to threaten." Blake silently agreed.

School ended. The students were free to roam and do whatever they'd like. Callie and Blake grabbed dinner and took them to go. "Hey, Blake I've got something to show ya." She led him to a worn down shed. "Help me pry open the door!" They both tried to open the degraded door. "How about I just kick it?" Callie nodded and stood back. Down came the door with a few of his strong kicks. They slowly walked in.

Vegetation covered the shed inside. There were a few rusting tools and decomposing plywood planks. Dry paint buckets were scattered around. The musky, moist yet dusty feeling settled around them. "Why are we here?" Callie was searching around, searching for something. "What are you looking for?" Blake asked. Callie smiled as she grabbed hold of something. It was behind an old shelf, covered by a variety of things. She led the thing out into view. "A bicycle! How did you know it was here?" Callie went back and got another one. "I overheard two students talking about a haunted shed with metal monsters inside." She sighed and giggled. "Turns out it's just bikes."

They took the bikes outside, and using some things from the shed, fixed them up quite nicely. "We'll just park them back inside once we're done." Callie liked the idea. With their new bikes, they rode off campus and into the small city.

"I wonder what we'll find there."
