"Wow, that was amazing." Jackie said. He leaned back, panting. Both of them were sweaty and exhausted
"I can't believe your magic has gotten that much stronger since we've last seen each other, you finally beat me!" He wailed.
"I know, I'm amazing. I spent weeks trying to get that last spell right, I'm glad it paid off. Magic can be a pain in the butt..." Wesley gloated.
"You know, speaking of pains...I wonder if Miyako and Winston are done drooling all over each other yet." Jackie pondered.
"Probably not, you know them." she replied.
"You're right. Well, that just leaves more time for us, I guess. You know what they say, any time away from Winston is a good time." Jackie said comically.
"Nobody says that except for you, you goofball." Wesley retorted.
"Yeah, maybe not, but it's still true."
Both of them laughed, care-free. It was times like this when they thought nothing could go wrong, as long as they were with each other.
It was true, the two lovebirds were not finished drooling all over each other. Miyako led Winston through the grand entrance of her Imperial Palace. The pair chatted away delightfully, catching up on what they had missed out on while apart.
"Oh, Winston. I'm so happy to see you again. Come, we should go see my father. It hasn't been very eventful here, lately, so he has had a bit of free time, per say."
"Your father? That's perfect, I had something to ask him, anyways." Winston said,
"Oh now did you? Tell me about it! It can be a secret between us, I won't tell him I knew!" Miyako urged him.
"It's a secret, you won't know until it happens. And I plan to keep it a secret, forgive me." he snickered.
She took his arm and shook it, almost like a small child having a tantrum while begging their parent for a toy. Miyako was roughly the height of said child, and was certainly acting like one. However, Winston found it a bit humorous and very, very cute.
After she had failed to pry the secret out of Winston, she sighed in defeat. They had reached a magnificent door, it was the pinnacle of Hoshidian architecture and design. Sliding it open effortlessly, Miyako and Winston entered her father's office and headquarters.
"Good afternoon, father." Miyako said, bowing respectfully.
Her towering beast of a father turned around to face his small, smiling daughter. He was a steely and battle-hardened man, but the wrinkles around his eyes gave away the fact that he smiled a lot. Lord Katsu was a benevolent ruler, but tough when he needed to be. Despite his intimidating appearance (and gigantic sword by his hip at all times), Katsu was a family-orientated man. He dearly loved his wife, three daughters, and the three children of his late twin brother. All of this put together made Winston feel slightly afraid for his safety, but he also respected his potential future father-in-law, even if he was taller and bulkier than him.
