Chapter 6

Beatrice

Dad? I knew it. Alex's father was this guy, Four. Man, they look exactly the same.

Alex guides us down a long hallway and leads us through a big door, "This is the Dauntless cafeteria, where you'll be eating all your meals."

Alex sits down at the table nearest to the door. A bunch of other Dauntless borns pile in and sit beside Alex. They're so loud and rowdy, the Abnegation boy beside me plugs his ears, "Well? What are you guys waiting for?" Alex raises his eyebrows, "Grab some food and eat!"

We all obey and soon my plate is filled to the brim with noodles, chicken, shrimp, sushi and raw fish. The Dauntless really know how to eat. I sit down beside Alex.

"Hey! Beatrice right? How you liking the food and stuff?" Alex stuffs his mouth with chocolate cake.

"It's great, thanks."

Tris walks over to our table, "Hey mom!" Alex waves.

"Hello, Alex," She nods in my direction, "Beatrice,"

Amanda sits down beside me and that exact moment, "Oh, um, hi! I'm Amanda." Amanda introduces herself to Tris.

"Nice to meet you, Amanda." Tris smiles at her.

"Oh! Mom, isn't your brother in Erudite? What's his name? Callum? No, Casey..." Alex looks at his mom expectantly. Tris's eyes turn sad and I can tell she wasn't a Dauntless born.

"Caleb," My eyes widen in shock. My fathers name is Caleb, and he is an Erudite. He was born in Abnegation, though, so this might be another Caleb they're talking about.

"Oh, my fathers name is Caleb, but he's from Abnegation, so it's probably not your brother," I say casually, flipping my hair.

"Oh? Well, I'm surprised you know so much about your parents-" Tris gets cut off by her son.

"Uh, mom, aren't you also from Abnegation?"

"Well, yes, but there are probably a lot of other Caleb's that transferred from Abnegation," Tris speaks quickly, "Well, I'll leave you children alone. We will be starting to train soon, so I recommend you fill yourselves up." I watch as she walks back to the adults, a little skip in each step. Just like my father's walk.
