Avery POV

I was on my way to Broyce's school. I got a call today saying that he started a food fight. I didn't believe it at first, but sometimes he does play too much.

I am very disappointed in him. He definitely will not be hanging out with his friends this weekend.

I walked in the office and seen Broyce with all types of foods on his head and clothes, talking to his friends, but when he heard my voice, he sat quietly.

"Hello, Mrs. Logan."

I greeted the principal with a handshake.

"Hello. Your son has created a mess in the cafeteria along with his frien-,"

Broyce cut her off.

"Mom, I didn't d-,"

I told him to be quiet.

"Broyce, I'm very disappointed in you. Starting a food fight, really?"

Broyce sat there quietly.

"You are definitely in big trouble." I turned back around to Mrs. Logan.

"So our school district has decided that he will be suspended for a week or he's stays after school to clean up the cafeteria. Your choice, ma'am."

If it was me, I definitely wouldn't want to clean up the cafeteria. He's lucky that I'm letting him stay home for a week.

"He shall be suspended for a week then."

"Okay, then. I'll see you in a week, Broyce Curry-Remiro."

I turned and Broyce followed me.

"Mom, I didn't start it."

"Broyce, it's never you. You always blame someone else. Just man up and take responsibility for your actions."

I turned and looked at him.

"I know, mom, but you have to believe me. You know I wouldn't do such a thing like that. Mom, I don't even eat the school lunch. I barely even go around the food. You know that I make my own lunches everyday, but somehow I got put into this situation and I get in trouble. So for me to be blamed for this, I will be upset and I will prove myself, mom."

Broyce started walking ahead of me. I just stood there, surprised by my son's words.

Stephen POV

Meilani always claims that I'm always with my boys and not with my girls. So I took her out for a grandpa and granddaughter date.

"Grandpa, let's get some candy."

Meilani ran towards the candy shop. This girl just never runs out of energy. She should be apart of the Warriors dance team.

Meilani got her candy and I decided that I should take her to a nearby shoe store. When we walked in, everyone started asking for pictures and autographs. I told them no, but I did give them store credit on my shoes.

"Papa, why are we here?"

Meilani held my hand tighter due to people staring at her and smiling.
