Chapter 1:

"Sometimes I wonder why I still bother trying",

I said to myself as I finished tossing and hurling clothes everywhere in my closet.

"Calm down Jem, you can do this, just go for a simple but classy style that will scream out "SOPHISTICATION!"

Sigh.....

After a few more rounds that went up with a storm in front of the mirror, I finally managed to settle down with something I had in mind. It was a black formal dress that looked very classy, I also chucked on a short pair of heels as I promised to myself that no kind of footwear will wear me down as a woman.

As I walked pass the mirror to get my car keys I was shocked at a horrid sight.

"I look hideous!" I screamed in frustration.

"Ugh....make-up it is then, but I will just make it light- yes- just a bit of powder-no- foundation- and just a little bit of contour to make my face smaller? no- Fine-, I'll just put a bit of powder, some black eyeliner, and maybe put on my brows and lipstick" I agreed with myself.

So I headed back to the bathroom and proceeded to do my business putting on different masks to hide the tiredness of my face dud to countless sleepless nights.

It's been a while since I ever had a good night's rest as I am always up all night thinking about that one day in Australia....

"Forget that! I'm starving" I declared as I woke myself up back to reality.

So I picked up my keys and went towards my car swiftly to drive to my favorite breakfast place.

Within just five minutes of driving, I encountered a very measly annoying everyday situation.

Traffic, bloody traffic.

Ugh! I sighed again once more very loudly.

IS this what I deserve just for freakin' going out to grab some breakfast!

Dammit...I am feeling so peckish that I could eat a truck load of friend chicken, maybe even a truckload of horses could be better...

Sigh......

Another hour wasted on the road due to heavy traffic jams.

"I really should have just walked shouldn't I?' I thought.

"Darn it, walking for 15 minutes would be better than this! Ugh....."

I then proceeded to bang my head on the horn causing a series of multiple annoyed beeping noises from the surrounding cars around me.

Life could not get any worse than this.

Macarons and Coffee.

My eyes lit up asI finally spotted the shop.

I parked down the side of the road parallel to the coffee shop and I progressed towards the tiny but warm cafe.

The smell of coffee, gelato and macarons filled the air. It was a very pleasing environment to be honest. Very relaxing.

I then moved on from my observations and proceeded to order;

"Hello Good Morning! May I take your order Jem?" asked by Jen.

This place is literally my regular go-to place that every staff knows me, and I managed to remember theirs in the due process, and maybe of course by their name tags.
