Chapter 8

Chapter 8:

Mia's POV:

Today would be great! Finally its Friday and I have a sleepover at Paris' house with Ethan and Jesse.

Currently I was getting dressed and packed for today. Its 4am so i have enough time. As I was getting changed I took some time noticing my his horrible uniform. I was on my way to my on suite bathroom to put in my brown contact lenses. 

The black blazer wasn't too bad, with the green school logo and a few stitching problems, it was the rest of the uniform. On cold days we would wear a green (puke green) jumper, not to mention it only came in big sizes. The skirt was black pleated and extremely short. What I have gathered is that the 'human' fashion is to have short skirts, and when I mean short, I mean the type when you bend over people will be able to see your underwear, short.

I have only worn the uniform for week and I already despise it.

I turned around and furrowed my eyebrows. That's odd, no one has ever rang the doorbell before. I used my vampire speed and got dressed in my uniform in less than a second and ran downstairs. maybe its the post man? well it is 4am and a human would be asleep by now so I doubt that.

As I opened the door my blood ran cold. It was him. I didn't want to him and he knew that, he shouldn't even know where I am.

"Hello, Princess Sapphire Mya" was all he said before I grabbed his arm and dragged him in, slamming the door after.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE MASON!" I screamed in Mason's face, anger pulsing through my body. He suddenly looked scared and backed away, his back against the wall.

"Take it easy Sapph, your eyes have gone orange" he said slowly and quietly while pointing to my eyes. I looked in the mirror behind him to see my bright orange eyes. If a vampire is angry, there eyes go orange. With a member of the royal family, like myself, in the pupil you can see the symbol of death, a skull.

I sighed, waiting for my eyes to go back to there normal red. "Look, I just came to see if you are ok? hanging around with humans can really change you" he told in a serious tone.

"Anyway, the vampire kingdom needs you, I understand that you have only been in the human world for a week but some thigh have already spun out of control. We have theories that other supernatural creatures are trying to locate and kidnap you. Its was to dangerous here"

I turned around and went to the back of the house, the kitchen. To glance out of the window and see the forest makes me feel better. Sighing again I turned around to see Mason right behind me, smiling.

"Mother and Father are at the kingdom now, trying to control and see who is trying to get me. I only found out last night when mother had a terrible vision again, of me. even though they are kind and queen of the vampire nation, I don't feel safe Mason" I looked up into his big red eyes, one was covered by his blonde hair that always had that windswept look.

"That's why I'm here, as duke and one of your best friends, I'm here to help you, so how do I begin?" he asked staring into my eyes, I opened my arms and hugged him and he hugged back.

Me and Mason have been friends for as long as I remember, he has always help me in a time of need and visa versa.

"I am so grateful for your help but I think I'm ok, I feel bad though because I haven't talked to you in years cause of you know, what happened..." I whispered looking up at him, he is practically family.

"I know and I feel terrible for what I did and that I haven't come to you sooner, but you just disappeared?" He told me as I felt as guilty as him.

"You knew it would happen sometime, every royal vampire has to serve 50 years in the human world as a human. I had been putting it off for over 300 years because I didn't want to see humans, but after what happened and our argument I had to go. I've been in the human world since, although I have visited my kingdom but mostly Mother and Father is there all the time" I explained. I sighed again and Mason brought me over to the living room and sat on the sofa.

"I know and if you need me, I'm here" he smiled and I smiled. "I need to go soon and you need to go to human school, but we will meet up again, promise. We need to catch up on what's been happening, and it will take a while. but the first thing I want to know is how long do you have left until you can come back? he asked while smiling like he always does.

"Only 1 year now and I still have more to learn as well" I replied. Until 8'oclock we caught up on everything we needed to now...

Hey I hope it was good. I know that this chapter was suppose to be about the sleepover but I needed to add this in so the next chapter will make sense. Lets just say, secrets will be let out ;)
