Shed A Light | Chris + Eva

Episode 10.10 part 1

Eva and Chris hadn't been in much contact after Emma's party, maybe a couple of text messages, but nothing serious had really happened between them.

As far as they were both concerned, they were drunk that night, in the mood to hook up, and found themselves in the perfect situation to do so with one another. Nothing more.

"Eva!" Vilde exclaimed, coming up to Eva in the school corridor. "I have exciting news."

Eva eyed her friend suspiciously. Vilde's exciting news were never really as exciting as she made them out to be.

"I'm going to throw a Christmas get-together." Vilde explained. "You know, for the kose group."

Eva smiled at that. "Part of me thinks you organized this kose group just for these parties."

Vilde nudged her friend playfully. "Of course not. But you'll be there right?"

Eva nodded. "How could I miss it?"

"Great." Vilde grinned. "Can you host?"

Eva sighed. After the party she had thrown in the beginning of the year, where her house got trashed and the police caught weed in her house, her mother was never going to let her do this. "Sorry Vilde. My mom is still pissed from the last party I threw."

Vilde seemed a little upset by this news, but quickly recovered. "That's okay. I'll go ask Isak if he can host."

And with that, the blond girl trotted further down the corridor to stop by Isak's locker.

As Eva was heading to class, her phone buzzed. She pulled it out to find a message from Chris.

[10:12] Penetrator Chris Just got invited to a Christmas party by your friend Vilde. Will you be there?

Eva couldn't stop herself from grinning idiotically at the message.

[10:12] Eva Well I am part of the kose group.. How come you got invited?

It was genuine question. Chris had left Nissen last year, so why had Vilde thought to invite him?

[10:13] Penetrator Chris Careful, I might think you don't want me there

[10:13] Eva Haha, you do realize it's going to be a chill get-together right? You'll have to talk to people, not just make out with them.

[10:14] Penetrator Chris I think I'll manage 😉

When Eva saw Vilde again she was itching to ask her about Chris and why he had been invited. Not that she minded at all, but she was curious about her friend's intentions.

"Chris texted me." Eva declaired during lunch break. They were all sitting around a table, Vilde, Sana, Chris (female) and Noora, who had returned from London.

They all looked up at this, eyes wide. "What?" Noora was the first one to speak. "Since when are you and Chris so close."

"We're not." Eva shrugged off, but she had to admit they had been texting more and more frequently. "It was just to tell me he had been invited to Vilde's party." Her eyes flickered over to Vilde, who was looking down at her salad, slightly embarassed.

"You invited Chris?" Female Chris asked, bewildered. "Why? He's not even part of the kose group, and you told me I couldn't bring Kasper because of that."

Eva realized she had just stirred more drama than intended, and decided to help out Vilde. "Well Chris did use to go to our school." She pointed out. "And he knows the guys."

Vilde nodded, thankful to Eva for defending her. "Yeah, I thought he might need some cheering up, you know, since his best friend is in London and he never gets to see him."

This was an acceptable reason, Eva thought, but believed there was more to this story.

"Whatever." Female Chris mumbled, still clearly annoyed. "I have to meet up with Kasper anyways. See you guys later." And with that, she stood up and walked off.

"Why couldn't you just invite Kasper?" Noora asked Vilde.

The blond sighed. "I don't think it's healthy for them to always be together, she's always with him and-"

"Never with you." Noora finished off for her, raising her eyebrows.

Vilde simply looked down at this, conferming Noora's theory.

"And," Eva decided to bring the topic of male Chris back up. "Why did you really invite Chris?"

Vilde glanced up at her. "That was the real reason. I thought he would like some company and to be with his friends again, and to be with you." She said the last phrase so quietly Eva barely heard her.

"With me?" She raised her eyebrows. "Why would you think he'd want to be with me?"

"I don't know." Vilde shrugged. "I might be a sucker for romance and this might all be in my head but I think he likes you."

Eva let out a laugh at this. Chris? Liking her? That wasn't possible. He was just using her for hooking up when he wanted to, which was okay  with her since she wanted the same.

Although at Emma's party there had been a moment in which she was jealous when he made out or flirted with other girls, but she brushed it off, certain what she was feeling was just a spur of the moment thing. It just annoyed her that the attention wasn't on her all the time.

"Call me crazy but I agree with Vilde." It was Sana who spoke this time. "If he didn't like you why hook up with you at every party."

"Maybe I'm just a really good kisser." Eva opted.

"Well I've kissed you." Vilde pointed out. "And you're good but not good enough for someone to keep wanting to hook up with you at every party."

Eva rolled her eyes at this, both at the fact Vilde had commented on her kissing skills, and at the idea that Chris could actually like like her. That was ridiculous.

"Don't you want him to come?" Vilde inquired after a moment of silence. All the girls turned to Eva now, interested in her response.

"I-I really don't care either way." Eva replied hesitantly. It was clear as day that she did care, but just wouldn't admit it. She then glanced down at her phone to check the time, making up some excuse to get out of there. She wasn't in the mood to be questioned on her feelings for Christoffer.
